  2. Pure Marketing. If you really think this will make your plant smell like a pina colada you are just buying in to the marketing ploy of the manufacturer.

Here is the actual description from the manufacturer:
Available in 6 scents, Final Flush™ is formulated to remove excess salt from growing media to ensure a cleaner tasting harvest. Plants tend to absorb excess nutrients and store them in plant tissues. By purging nutrients from the root zone, plants are forced to convert accumulated salts into secondary metabolites that improve harvest quality. The result is a top quality harvest with the flavour and aroma you expect.

Two things you should take notice of:
    1) This product is not ment to be absorbed by the plant as a nutrient/supplement but instead is made to dissolve excess from the growing media.

    2) There is absolutely no mention that this product will impart a pina colada flavor, this is complete conjecture on the consumer part (cleverly designed to do so I might add). The bottle says "Pina Colada" and shows a picture of a coconut and pineapple. Then they tell you you will get "the flavor and aroma you expect". I bet you are expecting pina colada right? They want you to assume exactly what you did but I dare you to find any deceleration from the manufacturer that claims this (or any) product will make your plant actually smell like pina colada, or strawberries, or apple or what have ya. You wont find any.

Manufacturers take advantage of the fact that most people that start out growing cannabis dont know much about gardening and they exploit it. If you really want to know if something works look outside of the cannabis industry. Show me a product that imparts pina colada flavor to tomatoes, or apple flavor to peppers, why dont you see these kind of products sold to the gardeners growing other fruits/vegetables?

As I said before I’m just going into my second year. I’m not a horticulturist I’m just an average student that’s learning. We haven’t been over the chemistry all that yet. This first year is all about Soil , Land , Farm Plotting and a very minimal amount about fertilizers and watering. That’s what we’re leaning this year. All I can give you right now is a rant about soil and just above the basics of plant care. You guys have a lot more time in the field then I do I’m only 19 and I’ve only had an interest in plants for the last 3 years.
Don’t go getting all defensive about ur knowledge in plants because I’m not doubting any of you I’m just questioning you for my own personal benefit.

  4. I like this idea. Maybe they could put strawberry terpenes in Viagra so my wife wouldn't object to giving me the oral magic.

  5. That’s fucked up  I should be like one of those douche bags and sue them for false advertisement just like someone did to red bull for not giving him wings

My bad, just sat down and calculated the charge...limonene is non-polar....never trust a molecule by its form. Still pretty sure the plant would just break it down and use it afterwards, if they dont get the oil coating you were talking about seeing as were talking hydro. As for the disgusting flavored flush thing, i'm really not a hundread percent sure if or why it works, but i've heard of Reticulum Endoplasmic saturation that can prevent enzyme production, which would prevent the break down of said molecules.
If you could get some tissue sample analysis done afterwards we could possibly get some interesting data.

I poured half a ml of Gelato terpenes that I’m never gonna use directly on top the rockwool cube and rinsed it down with a syringe of water.
Figured I’ll save a sample of the cured product and have it tested with the rest of my bud next month and compare the terpene analysis.

  8. While I am sure you wont see any difference it will be cool to actually have some sceintific proof on hand since this topic pops up every now and again spurring up the same debate and arguments. Please dont forget to post your results!

  9. Yea I doubt it to. Especially with the amount I put in. I might buy a bottle of orange essential oil and pour the whole bottle on top another little flowering clone and have that tested to. I’ll make sure to post the analysis report.

  10. just make sure to not get any on the actual buds ;)

  11. Any testing reports yet?

  12. Not yet. Headed down on May 10th.
The Terpene and essential oil sample’s are cured and sealed ready for testing.

  13. Not even close to the same concept, one has roots and the other doesn't.

  14. Roast.

  15. Doesn’t work brother. Almost a decade ago I believed some bs about using orange juice at the end to achieve a similar effect.

Long story short, I ended up with sticky nasty shit that attracted bugs like a mofo.

You know me well enough to know I’ve experimented with all kinds of shit. And in the end THEE best weed I’ve ever grown was just RO, AquaFlakes and light. LIGHT DOSE on nutes.

I can run 500ppm and crush a grow using 1000ppms.

I don’t even trim shit at all. At best I will tuck back leaves but never cut them. The plant knows best. I also finish on time every time.

I spent good money on nutes that plant used to grow leaves. THERE’S GOOD SHIT IN THOSE LEAVES. Requires no water or pH or shit because it stored exactly what it needs/wants in those leaves. The trick is getting the plant to use this stored food at the end. That will give thee best tasting weed.

  16. Lol! Never heard of using Orange juice before. Sounds like lots of problems there.... I’m just gonna stick to my regular growing tech. However I am interested to see what the lab report on this clone looks like compared to my other gorilla bombs. You don’t trim ur plants at all?

  17. Not anymore. I use to but it only stressed them out or added time to my grow. Plus my $$$ is essentially inside those leaves. Kinda silly to feed nutes to then cut off the parts where it stored them.

What usually happens is a natural canopy and pretty much regulates itself. Since light doesn’t get too far past the canopy, it doesn’t focus energy growing smaller bs.

Just my experiences. If you just trim a tiny bit here and there and keep up on it then it may not have a big impact but I’m too lazy to be in there trimming a leaf here and there daily.

I’ve never yielded less this way either. Only more. And you know as well as I do that frosty leaves eventually translates to carts. So my lazy, let the plants do their thing gives great buds and hash materials.

And I quit feeding 2 weeks at the end. After a few days you will see it convert big leaves into food. This is a for sure way to know you flushed well lol.

I think I get away with it because I’m using 2x’s 600w HPS. All the grows where ppl go trim crazy are led it seems because of it’s weaker penetration. My .02
