So.. I had just picked up half eight of some fire in Palm Beach County. We packed up a bowl and smoked it. After we were done a cop pulls me over, inevitably they found it after searching my car because they "smelled" it. I didn't know this but in Palm Beach County you don't go to jail, thank God, but I have a court date in about a month. I know my parents will flip out because this is not the first time, I'm wondering if I should tell them or not. The cops told me that I could have some community service or other things like that. Should I tell them or try to get off easier and hide it from them?
uhmm... i do not know how this process is exactly done in Florida, but (if he hasn't already) a bombardment of weasel-ass lawyers will have your mailbox crammed with their "Hire me, or you're f**kd" letters. Unless the OP has a different address on his/her I.D., and also gave that same address to the arresting officers when the question arose (which im sure it did). So, unless you can beat mom & dad to the mail, every single time until the case has gone to court. If not, i suggest coming clean with them, you may be surprised. They obviously care about you, or you woulda been packing your bags the first time you were busted. Tell em.... "Atleast it wasn't meth!" or some ish like that. Good luck my friend. I've been there.
Do the mature thing and include your parents in your life. Tell them that you plan on paying the court fees and shit, but you just wanted to keep them in the loop because they're your parents.
