alright i read it works so good for you man... but if shit goes down, and you need to go to the apple store, look inside the headphone jack and take out a red sticker. they hide the water damage stickers in there. i bet if you took out the red and replaced it with a white sticker you could get a new one from warranty. ive gone through waaaaay to many ipods and phones so good luck man

My first iPod had some pretty severe water damage but still managed to work for a while. Eventually the battery just wouldn't charge anymore though. Solid machines those 1st gen iPods.
