2x 4000k vero 29 10k lm cobs just under 90w each and very well cooled. These things are very bright... My god its killing me that I don't have any children to put in it yet lol.
Looks fine but you can pack far more plants in solo cups in there. If you are planning on just 4 the whole time it will work fine just make sure to transplant after a week or 2, whenever they are growing around the 4th or 5th node is what I usually do.
in that case drop the lights down closer, that distance is fine for HID lighting but CFL lights don't penetrate past like 6"~.
This is actually an led cob light I built, it is brighter than a 600w hps. Those dixie cups are going through the floor into a dwc.
ah ok my mistake then yeah that is a good setup. so if the cups are feeding into DWC, it looks like you will have trouble when the plants get to a decent size because they are so close to the wall. I would try to space them evenly throughout the footprint of the light.
Plan is to lower the light and train them where I want them. The bottom is steel and ill be using magnets, fishing line, and christmas ornament hooks to passively train along with a bit of supercropping.
sounds like a plan. seems like you are ready to get started. the only thing I don't see in your setup though is ventilation
Co2 injection and the light creates the air flow. Doesnt need vented other than cooling which will be done at a very slow rate through the top through a carbon filter into a closet with an air ionizer. I may have to rethink it during flower, but I think itll work.
as long as your temps are okay, which is gonna be about 5-10 degrees (Fahrenheit) above normal because of the CO2. I can't think of anything else right now that you need so you can get started whenever you want to.
Yea, trying to find decent clones for a resonable price is hard and im way scared to buy from craigslist ugh...
