That sucks. I accidentally hit and killed a puppy that belonged to a family member a couple of years ago. Fuck, I cried for days, that was terrible. We don't have possum around here, so I'm not sure if they're pests or not, but I know if I hit a raccoon or something like that I probably wouldn't feel bad, they fuck with my herbs (ripped a fucking basil plant out of the soil and left it to die). The way you feel does go away eventually, though. At least you know it wasn't someone's pet, for what it's worth.
One things for sure those possums are as dead as this thread once was. Difference is those possums aren't ever coming back.
I haven't killied anything thank god. But a couple of months ago when I was a lesser of a driver. I tried to advoid road kill. Ended up running over the skull of what it was. Ug how that shifted the the car with the thump THUMP
