So I inherited a hood and two ballasts for a dual 600 hps setup. Went to buy some bulbs and the local shops are selling them for $110 EACH. Screw that. I was looking on eBay and found some for $25 (including shipping). I'm wondering if anyone has any experience buying from eBay... or with these $15 grow bulbs. Will these do the job or should I get some higher quality ones?
i'm sure you can find them cheaper than 110$ somewhere, but I don't think that going with bargain basement ebay bulbs would end well, they're just going to be horrid quality and burnout/explode/have crappy spectrum properties more than likely.
