So... Ethylene?

  1. There's no need to call me a noob - I am a noob, so you'll just be stating the obvious.

Commercial tomato growers expose unripe tomatos to a gas, I think it's ethylene, which causes them to ripen.

Can this same process be applied to herb?

I've got at least a month to go, and I could really use some herb to relax lately. Every day seems like a week, a week like a month and a month like a year. So I'm just kinda tossing this idea out there in desperation. Can it possibly work to speed up flowering? If so, is there any way to get it, and is it dangerous in any way?
