So Cal Growers Unite

  1. My veg space is an old wood garden shed that has been ravaged by termites and dry rot for 50 years and the moths can fly right in when they see the bright lights leaking out at night.
I knew I was going to find catties as I've had moths flying out when I open the door for the last few days.
Not many yet in the bug zapper but the few it's gotten kept me on the lookout for the crawling little bastards.

  2. Surprised you don't have a mold problem as well.

  3. Southern California is low humidity most of the time and we don't get much mold.
    Powdery Mildew yes.

  7. I live in SoCal.
Funky wood around a grow is an invitation to mold.
    Don't ask how I know!

  8. I use BT and Spinosad through the entire grow period.
My mold issues have been reduced about 95%.
It's nice to allow a plant to finish up.

  9. Is the spinosad for the mold?

  10. No, it's for insects. Bug shit causes the mold.

Aha! Thank you for the heads up.

  12. What you mention was one of my biggest problems with my back patio SoCal grow, particularly in summer. I'm using BT and Serenade and now when to harvest isn't dictated by "cutting my losses." A little extra work, with a huge benefit of quality and yield. Good call.

  14. How's everyone's buds looking? I feel mine are kinda small... idk if this is where they should be at or if they not getting enough sun.

Direct sun hits them till about 2-3pm than it's all shade.

They were also very root bound when I placed them outside.

Also had one start throwing nanners all over. Chopped it down 20190419_190115.jpg 20190419_190458.jpg

    Bummer about the Herm.

How long have they been in flower? Mine are 5 weeks in, outdoor Afghani.

  16. Went outside March 10. First pic I can see of buds is March 31. So that puts them at about week 3/4 of flower..

Backyard Garden as of now. Got 3 grease monkey on the back right and 3 bisti badlands the back left gelato 41 in the front and black triangle Kush in the front.

The plants in the back are in flower but the ones in front are slow to transition. Will they finish before june 1st?? WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

Design some crazy light dep tarp rig? Let them be???

  19. Good question. Can’t really see how far along they are.

    3 options:

    - let it ride

    - cover them to induce/keep flowering

    - add aux lighting to keep in veg until June
