  1. And any expert will tell you that over 80% of the recovery was on Obama's watch yet DT and his minions say it all happened since 10/1/17 when BO's fiscal budget ended... lmao

No in reality those who know - know that capitalism cannot continue like it has since 1975 with corporate welfare increasing while workers wages have remained stagnant all the while being blamed by the GOP for being the problem... Both parties sent jobs overseas this due to American workers having no say... instead the largest shareholders of the corps are the voice.. all in the name of the almighty dollar... cannot believe anyone can continue to defend the 1% and overpaid CEO's and blame the workers...

  2. All experts say 80% from Obama?

Those who know - know = Bernie

    Stagnant since 75? I started at 2.35 a hour

No one is playing the blame game Svedka but you guys and that victim mentality you've had beaten into you for over 40 years.

  3. I can provide sources if you do but not first... you are going to have to show proof and not from Fox News or faux numbers...

  4. What will you say if Amazon cuts its employment down to make up for loss profit? Or they lose their market share to other business offering the same products for less and end up employing less people? What if the economy tells them that people answering phones and packing boxes are not worth 15 a hour? Do we listen to the economy or politicians that demand business just pay it?
Also the " its the economy stupid" was a reference to Bill Clinton debating Bush something I thought you wouldve picked up on

  6. @MrRaider We are not going to change each others nor the minds of anyone on this forum... Do we really want to get into this? Sure we can both make points, state our respective cases but it won't change a thing... Just keep voting for whichever party you feel is for your own personal benefit...

i myself will attempt to vote for those who claim they will benefit the "whole" including women, people of color, those with mental, emotional or physical limitations, etc... i couldn't care less about my future... if not for some financial loose ends pertaining to my estate as well as dumping a lot of things i don't need & can't take with me... i'm ready to drop this body any day so my vote is not for me but the disenfranchised majority... certainly not for the 1% like Bezos... i think his worth was 83 Billion i read the other day...

i don't think any of us are here to cater to the needs of the 1% as they have more than they and their great great great grand kids could ever possibly need. i don't understand anyone cheering for their tax breaks and there is no way you or anyone else is going to convince me it is for the good of the country or the people... Pasted more than planned to from this article in March.. already outdated i'm sure...

CEO Pay Skyrockets To 361 Times That Of The Average Worker

If you have any doubt about our country’s disappearing middle class, check out the current CEO-to-employee pay gap.

In the 1950s, a typical CEO made 20 times the salary of his or her average worker. Last year, CEO pay at an S&P 500 Index firm soared to an average of 361 times more than the average rank-and-file worker, or pay of $13,940,000 a year, according to an AFL-CIO’s Executive Paywatch news release today.

Despite increasing protests from unions and consumer groups, the average CEO pay climbed 6% last year. Meanwhile, the average production worker earned just $38, 613, according to Executive Paywatch.

“This year’s report provides further proof of America’s income inequality crisis,” said AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer Liz Shuler. “Too many working people are struggling to get by, to afford the basics, to save for college, to retire with dignity, while CEOs are paying themselves more and more. Our economy works best when consumers have money to spend. That means raising wages for workers and reining in out-of-control executive pay.”

Discussing just how out of control that pay is, Executive Paywatch points out the average wage – adjusted for inflation -- has stagnated for more than 50 years. Meanwhile, CEO’s average pay since the 1950s has grown by 1000%.

Most galling, for many, is that CEOs often get full pay, bonuses and a golden parachute even when their companies fail and go bankrupt, receive taxpayer bailouts or pay millions in fines for fraud, according to Al Lewis of MarketWatch. CEO firings? No problem. In his 2013 article “Fraud, Failure and Bankruptcy Pay Well for CEOs,” Lewis reported the average golden parachute for CEOs forced out of their jobs was valued at $48 million.

Among other findings from the Executive Paywatch release:
    • The CEO of Mondelēz International, which makes Nabisco products, including Chips Ahoy, Oreos, and Ritz Crackers, makes 403 times its median employees’ pay: CEO Irene Rosenfeld received $17.3 in 2017, according to an SEC disclosure. But in what might be an example of the gender gap in CEO pay, Mondelēz’s new CEO, Dirk Van de Put made more than $42.4 million in total compensation in 2017 – more than 989 times the company’s median pay for employees. “Mondelēz continues to be one of the most egregious examples of CEO-to-worker pay inequality,” stated the Executive Paywatch news release. The company… is leading the race to the bottom and continuing to embrace inequality.” Executive Paywatch noted that last week, however, most Mondelēz shareholders voted against the company’s advisory vote on executive compensation.
    • Mattel, the well-known toy maker, had the highest pay gap of all the S&P 500 companies. Mattel’s median employee is a manufacturing worker in Malaysia who made $6,271, resulting in a CEO-to-employee pay ratio of 4,987:1.
    • In contrast, Warren Buffett’s company Berkshire Hathaway Inc. “had the lowest pay ratio of all S&P 500 companies: Just 2:1.” (This may help explain Buffett's enduring popularity.)

  7. Who in here over 25 makes minimum wage? I'd bet less than 10% that are not serving food. If you are making minimum wage as a adult then that's on you! You fucked up in life. I could start a job as minimum wage anywhere and be confident they will pay me more immediately as to not loss my labor and EXPERTISE. Become a asset and watch your stock sore. Stay a liability and keep earning peanuts. CEO make 361 times the average worker because they produce 361 x more for the company.
If you take any company you will find that 50% of the work is done by 1% of the people. And 1% of that 1% are the real earners and innovators of our society.
    really worth a watch.

  12. pretty weird world we live in.... if you think about the United States and the various people who live here and have a voice, you know, like white suprematists, for example. We may not like what they say, but they have a right to say it. They have a right to express themselves and despite many protests and surrounding issues, are technically protected by the constitution.

but then we look outside of US and all of a sudden pretty much any country that "disagrees" with the American politics or culture becomes a mortal enemy. How is North Korea threatening anyone in the US?... did you ever get slapped around by a North Korean citizen, did anyone from NK ever hurt your loved ones? Pretty sure it's not the case. Yet we are ready to go to war with them. ... because they tested a rocket. While we have been testing rockets for the last 50 years and it's a weekend hobby of Elon Musk.

Considering that the US has invaded more countries in the last 30-40 years than pretty much anyone else, what exactly gives us the right to be some "moral authority" of the world? i mean we have a cartoon character for the president. Everyone heard what UN thinks of trump and our amazing progress! #MAGA

  13. I dont mean fighting other countries. I mean fighting the retards at home. We live in a morally and ethically bankrupted world. Until another country attacks one of our embacies or hits us on our own turf i couldn't care less what they are doing to their own people.

  14. Lol...

  15. You guys hate yourselves so much that you forget what the rest of the world - to which most of you are strikingly ignorant - is like.

Take your own argument seriously, here. How much do you know about North Korea, and what do you think would give America a moral superiority of it?

Those who want socialism seem to just hate those with money so much it clouds any rational thought. Instead of working to improve your life, get a good job, they sit around and want everybody to be miserable and live in poverty. They say misery loves company. If your not willing to work for what you want you deserve nothing, but yet they still think they are entitled.

I worked hard went to trade school for 4 years and make a decent living doing plumbing and hvac, I will never be rich and I will never hate the rich either I make a decent living and im satisfied, to crash and burn everything I have and worked for just because people have it better than me makes no sense.
