Snoopdogs Twilight Groups Spider COB 432 LED grow journal.

Here we go guys, The fine people at Twilight Groups (Jason) have hooked me up with my first LED grow light.
 
It is The twilight groups Spider COB 432W LED
 
Now out of the box, this light looks Sweet, Its heavy like a computer tower, it is not cheap and flimsy at all.
It takes a standard power cord that would power a computer tower. It comes with a sturdy cable harness.
First impression is its cool looking but still an industrial heavy duty unit .
 

 
Now you turn it on and it blinds everyone in the room. Pictures will be a challenge as you know LOL.
 

 
I have some ratty nerglected orphan soil clones I threw under it but they will be vegged and chopped up for hydro clones. They will be replaced with feminized seeds grown hydro sent to my by Jack from The Vault seed bank. This is a 20 minute $20 set up. I'm frugal and know you dont need $1,000.00 in bullshit to grow a crop.
I am just starting this grow today.
 

 
Having grown under hot lights I will be adding supplemental heat for the LED intermittently because it is 24F or -4C outside.
 

 
I have to say this light is beautiful and will be planting Automatic Pink Diesel X Amnessia feminized seedlings DWC hydro using Earth Juice organic hydroponic nutrients. Seeds provided by The Vault.
 
Im going to pamper the hell out of these up and coming seedlings.

Anyway, the room temperature is creeping up into the upper 60's. The light is not on a timer so its going to run for a few weeks with no break.

It warmed up today so the ice storm is turning to slop. Going to make a short youtube video later.
 
I have not fired up the glass torch in a couple days, Its like an itch that needs scratched, need to get my Oxygen bottle filled before they close on Friday so I need to use up the last 1,000 pounds in my tank.
 
I just fired up breakfast bacon and hash browns, it going to be an awesome day.   Im a bad ass cook so food around Snoops house is the best! Wish you were here or I was there. Some cast iron pans I can make some art for the belly!

Im uploading a short video clip now. Not much to see after one day but the unit is running great and the room temperature has climbed to 72F, perfect.

Cooking is an art everyone can learn and love, I make greasy yummy meals, nothing healthy at all. I ate a whole package of bacon for breakfast, but hey it was turkey bacon. LOL
 
Im going to get a kiln ordered on the 3rd of December no matter what. Its a must have item.
 
Finding time to run the torch and being in the mood is a motherfucker, Always some shit going on that distracts me.
 
 

 
Its a fine light, looking forward to seeing how the flowers turn out. I do need to try and lower my power bill, its right there with a car payment. The first few KWH are low but the over use does hit my wallet. 2 months would buy me the kiln so I can plug that bitch in and draw more then a bunch of lights. LOL
 
There just is no free lunch when it come to the power bill. Hmmm I need a wire feed welder....

Ok I have seeds soaking over night then will go into the rockwool. I had to put things off as we had a cold spell from hell, in the last 3 weeks it has gone from 76F to 14F and back up to 60F last night. During the cold I have animals to care for and nothing was happy about it and most of all the gardens.
 
In order to give the light an honest review I feel starting from seeds will accomplish that.
 
the plants under it now were kind of neglected in solo cups, root bound, not my best soil mix for little seedlings, they will bounce back but are not worthy of showcasing in a journal such as this.
 
Besides I dont like to use soil indoors any more, dirt belongs outside.
 
A fresh start is what Im doing.
 
I have the seeds from The vault cannabis seed store, 5 feminized Automatic Pink Diesle X Amnesia.
 
The seeds will soak over night and go right to the rockwool and under the light. Once they pop the other plants go somewhere else and the babies get a front row seat under the lights. I am hoping for all 5 to sprout but 4 would be perfect.
 
The temporary plants appear happy as they were just under floros before. I'm charging my camera right now.
 
Room temperatures have been very steady at 70F RH 38%. I will add some more insulation to the space, Id like to see temps climb to 76F.
The goal is to have the environment dialed in before the babies are planted in the hydro tubs.
 
I have a digital thermostat and RH monitor sitting conveniently on top of the light. The light does seem to have very good air flow with its 4 cooling systems, not much heat to be found. I can see how this would be perfect for growers who require stealth and do not wish to have a set of fans that are abnormally large and loud.
 
Now with the lower temperatures and growing hydroponically I will have very little to do but wait, plants in hydro grow themselves I just give them soup and pull up the lights as the plants grow.
 
I will document this grow with pictures so I have waypoints to plot the progress. Right now there is not much to show.
 
Well Im going to blow some glass, make a chillum or two. Might try a one piece Sherlock in clear 25MM that I fume with silver vapor..

 

I have the new sprouted seeds in rockwool under the led right now.
 
Conditions are looking good.
