This first post is going to be quite lengthy, and will be updated as time progresses.
Welcome to my second journal. With a complete run of bagseed, and another run in the flower tent; on their way out in the next couple months, the shipment from the vault couldn’t have come at a better time. Breeder packaging(pic attached), great prices and wonderful customer service.

    Rooms/Tents, Equipment & Lighting

Veg Box- this is a custom built cabinet that
is not light proof, but is sealed enough to maintain a great vegetation climate with lights on 24hrs.
    Box Outside Dimensions- 42”w x 24”d x 46”h
    Inside Dimensions- 36”x18”x40”
-4” Intake and Exhaust Port- intake is passive filtered, and exhaust is passive not filtered into the HPS Tent (the pull is very strong even when the exhaust fan isn’t on in the hps tent).
    -8” fan for circulation
-Lighting: Florowing 125w 6400k Grow Light,
2x DIY LED Outlet Strip lights; these consist of a six plug outlet strip, 3x plug to socket adapters, 3x socket y-adapter.
    I’m running 8x- 13w (100w eq) 5000k 1575lm
    4x- 13w (100w eq) 2700k 1500lm
I have more materials to build more strips if needed.

HPS Tent- this is where the photos will
    be flowered.
    -48”w x 24”d x 60”h Viparspectra

-4” passive intake, not filtered from veg box
-6” exhaust, Vivosun Carbon Filter, Max-Fan 6” (I can’t find a cfm listed)- on during lights on and alternating off/on every half hour during lights off.
6” clip fan blowing across tops
Dual 8” window fan for circulation
    - Lighting: Predator 6” Air Cooled Hood 1000w Cap, 1000w Ultra Sun HPS dimmable bulb, Phantom Digital Ballast 400w max (w boost 440w)<— it’s set at 400w

CMH/LED Tent- this is where the autos will go
    after outgrowing the veg box.
    -48”w x 24”d x 60”h Idaodan
    -(2) 4” filtered passive intakes
    -4” exhaust, Vivosun 140 cfm
    -4” carbon filter
-8” fan for circulation (will probably have to add another)
    Lighting: 315w CMH- Vivosun
2x WYZM 1500w Full Spectrum junk
    (~147w from the wall each)

    Medium- soil
My medium will be a mix of Fox Farms Happy Frog and perlite mixed 60/40. I do all my mixing in batches, as I need it, in a small locking tote that I can shake up real good.
I’ve found this to be a good ratio so far.

Planters/Pots- fabric is the way to go IMO
After experimenting with plastic pots of varieties, not again. This is where my fungus gnat problem started. They got into the holes in the bottom and the sides where I had drilled holes for aeration.
So I got fabric pots of various sizes
    1g, 2g, and 5g.
    Solo cups for seedlings.

    Nutrients-
-Fox Farm Grow Big, Big Bud, Tiger Bloom
-General Hydroponics- powder Maxibloom & Maxigro
    Liquid Koolbloom
-Epsoms Salt (haven’t needed it yet)
-PH up & down, cheap 15$ amazon PH tester pen - no ppm tester

    Other-
VivoHome seedling mat w/ temp controller
Rapid Rooter Dome w/ Rooter pods

So I’ve popped a few new ones already, there will be another post shortly.
I welcome everyone’s input throughout this journey and Happy Growing!

  3. I started the germination process early Saturday morning the way I’ve done the last ones, with 100% success so far. Tap water soaked paper towel wrapped in foil underneath a book on the seedling mat. The temp probe was wrapped into one of the seed packets to make sure it didn’t get to hot.
I prepared my soil Friday night, filled solo cups, and placed them in the veg box and turned the lights on to help warm the soil.
Checked this morning and all seeds had popped tails- that means it’s time for dirt.
Something to look forward to is one of the Amnesia Haze Autos has twin tap roots. (9th pic)
Planted each bean tap down and lightly covered and sprayed with water ph to 6.6.
We got 2x Auto Blueberry, 2x Amnesia Haze Auto ( maybe three if I can get the separated early), 1x Vanilla Kush, 1x LSD.
Placed in the veg box waiting to pop their heads now.

  4. Nice set up, sounds like you've covered all the bases! I'll be following along.

  5. Seedling Update-
LSD- this seed popped above the ground with the most vigor, shaking its shell and spreading its water leaves by mid day Tuesday
    Tue- 97F5EC5C-22DE-46C3-8BCE-F3E3947B97B7.jpeg 1659C3B9-A4EF-4751-81CA-B37CED8A4A88.jpeg 1C1538E8-359C-4A6B-93F1-7912B524C67D.jpeg
    Wed- 2D0251FA-4455-4A78-A041-C65FA2F030CA.jpeg

Vanilla Kush- this girl popped her head up late Tuesday, and finally shook her shell by mid-day Wed.
    Tue- 07B5466C-6082-4E4E-A606-DB9D8B378623.jpeg
    Wed- 9796B9C0-72B4-4EE5-9D35-98433681DB5A.jpeg

Blueberry Auto- both of these seedlings popped up late Monday, but kind of stalled for Tuesday (I can only hope there was a ton of root growth happening). One finally ditched its shell early Wednesday, and I helped the other shake its case later.

Amnesia Haze Auto- so nothing out of the ordinary with the first one, popping up late Monday and ditching its shell mid Tuesday. Looking good today.
    Tue- 58F59CA5-F775-41F9-A6C6-9B1EE728BF25.jpeg 00D96BB6-EECC-4FD3-902F-A310FE34057E.jpeg
Now on to a first for me- the twin tap root Amnesia Haze Auto (9th picture in my last post)
Today it popped above the soil.
    4E0CB1AC-D444-446D-85ED-AF59D5E55541.jpeg
Two stems and all- so I got in there and got that casing off, the two plants separated almost instantly. So I took 1”wide ruler and prodded the soil in a 2” square around where I figured to be outside the root zone. I watched on the third probe, the two stems separated further from each other. At this point I gently lifted one seedling and it came right out, with the whole root (about 2” long). Sorry no picture during the process. But I’m expecting full recoveries.

In the last picture in my last post above, you can see a couple foil packs laid on the seedling mat Sunday.
    Candyland by Garden of Green
    Northern Lights by Sensi Seeds
These two seeds I had decided to germinate differently by placing each in their own glass of water for 12 hours before wrapping in foil. Come home from work Monday evening to find inch long tails. In the dirt they go.
    1BC335A2-451C-45A9-BE1D-B562CCC7322B.jpeg
They have both popped up above ground and have ditched their casings. Very Fast Indeed

    Candyland- C001E9B1-ADEC-4E20-BBE8-3C6E9A0ABB00.jpeg

Seedlings are being run 24 hour lights on, being watered with tap ph to 6.4-6.6.

The seedling mat is not on. I’m lazy and haven’t take care of it yet.
Hope everyone’s week has been going great so far!
As always- questions are welcome and tips are greatly appreciated.

  6. Seedling Update-
They all seem to be doing well.
The twin separation seems to have been a success. They look a little stunted compared to the rest. The one that was tucked on the inside is a mutant, but I believe she is will grow out of it soon.
    Here’s the twins-
    D49FD1B6-4BF8-4E92-A859-AF45436E6C04.jpeg
Most of the seedlings are building their second set of leaves.
    C5A9F202-301C-440E-B15D-C6FDEECD88E9.jpeg
Humidity is low for being a veg box, but they just seem to be drinking a lot. Still just plain tap- ph 6.2-6.6.
    Hope everyone’s weekend went well.

  7. Update- seedlings are growing well, twins are definitely behind
    Day 10-
    AA0334BF-3952-418A-ADC6-5EE0A9BA7EA2.jpeg

With most of the seedlings leaves reaching the rim of the solo cups, it’s time to transplant.

    Day 11-
Today I did the transplanting. Had to do it in stages because my back has been killing me today. Knew I should have taken it easy shoveling that snow.
    5BE98764-43DB-490E-A695-5390E11A3488.jpeg

I did the photos first, planting each in a wide, 2 gallon fabric pot.
A few hours later I got to the autos, planting 2 in a tall, 2 gallon fabric pot. One (blueberry auto) found its home in a 5 gallon fabric pot. This is their final home- I do not plan on moving these girls again.
The twins will get a few more days in the solos.
    947FEE16-F200-48BB-9806-0E37CE162D98.jpeg

All were watered with tap ph 6.4.
The humidity has risen a little, sitting around 50%.

    Happy Growing!

  8. You should leave the twins in those cups and push them to the limit. I've seen some solocup auto grows that are insane!

  9. That is an idea, maybe I’ll do that with one of them. I’m all for experimenting. Part of the reason I have one of the blueberry in a 5g. I would only worry about it getting too top heavy.

    Day 25
Got the autos out of the box, and into the LED tent. Ordered a 315w CMH for this tent- should be here Monday. I will still use the WZYMs for supplemental light. I’m thinking this will provide a great range of spectrum for autos for the whole cycle, plug and play.... does anyone have any thoughts on this? Is this enough to get a good harvest in a 2x4?

Autos were watered with 2 tsp MaxiBloom/ gal- ph@6.6

The 4 photos now have the whole box to spread out. Moved the Florowing to the front and tilted it towards the middle. Removed 1 DIY light strip at the top.

  16. Update-
So a few days ago, the CMH arrived as planned and was installed in the LED tent. After a couple hours of running the temps were 98F.
This caused me to have to change around my exhuast set-up, and purchase a new 6” carbon filter for the HPS tent - so I could passively bring cooler air into the CMH/LED tent. Now that temps are leveled out for a couple days I can be satisfied. 79-86F. I may just have to cut this tent back to 20/4. We will see.
The photos have responded well to their topping.
The vanilla kush is reluctant to grow out its laterals. This and the LSD are the main strains I’m concerned with getting clones from, as I don’t have any more seeds of these. The LSD got moved into the CMH/LED tent today- there’s lots of room right now.

Both placed in tap water (70F) for 16 hours, covered with a saucer. Wrapped in wet paper towel and foil, and left on the PS4 overnight.

This morning the Sweet Cream had a 1/2” long tail- was sowed directly into 2g fabric pot (50/50 FFHF/perlite) & placed in veg box.
