I think at some time this week I'm going to germinate seeds for my next grow.
I'd like some suggestions on what you guys think I should germinate. I plan to do 4 DWC buckets on this next grow.

    Here's my current seed inventory...

    1 x G13 Labs - Purple Haze - Not Sexed
    1 x G13 Labs - GigaBud - Feminized

  5. Nice. They are looking Healthy. :)

  6. Subbed!:hello::D

I am currently on my second grow. I am growing 1 diesel ryder under a 250w hps in a tent so I want to see how much more you will yield with your light. Your ladies are looking great!:smoke:

  7. subbed. Nice looking plant you got there! I just finished up this same strain, first grow ever in a dwc bucket. Had some problems early on cause she was really sensitive to nutes, no where near as bushy as your girls! stinky plants right? I could smell her before i even opened the door to my apartment! will be following this grow, heres a link to my journal on a site dedicated to autoflowers http://www.autoflower.net/forums/sh...-(autoflower)-Power-Kush-(photoperiod)-day-19

  8. HELP!!!

One of my ladies looks ill. She is extremely pale in color, especially compared to her sister to the left.

Note: this morning when I checked on them; I found that she was nearly out of nutrient solution. I quickly mixed up several gallon jugs with Lucas Formula, checked pH at 5.9 and filled both buckets.

Do you think the low water level is what has caused the yellowing/lightening?
If so, shouldn't I be seeing noticeable improvements now 6 hours since refilling???

    Thanks!

  9. On my last grow (easy ryder) I had a few points where my plant started to yellow and take on a more yellow green appearance. I found that it took them a day or two to bounce back. I grow in coco so it is a little different but I would say since your girls look healthy other than that they should bounce back soon.

Also I noticed that when my plant was yellowing that the new growth started to come out green before the already yellowed parts gained their color back.
I don't know if that is typical but if it does happen that way be sure to let us know.

I hope this reassures you a bit until you get a solid answer!:smoke:

It makes me feel a little calmer, so thanks. I'll update the status of this issue in the morning!

Let's get some chatter in here!

How many times has everyone watched the film "The Union"???

  11. what are your roots looking like? i know when my diesel ryder started to yellow up on me it was the start of some root rot...i took care of it right of way but the damage happens fast. Are you using any buffers like Zone or hygrogzyme? Also do you have a ppm meter?? how hot is your nute mix, i know for me, diesel ryder was SUPER sensitive to nutes

and i've seen the Union id say about 3 times now...good doc.:smoke:

The roots look good- still nice and white. I can imagine they became unhappy when there was such a low level of solution in there yesterday, which presumably raised the temps in the buckets, but I don't feel like any real damage occurred.
I'll include some photos of the roots this evening when I take some more pics and try to compare the progress its making since being refilled with nutes.

I don't currently have a ppm meter, just pH. I am currently looking for a good deal on a combo pH, ppm, and temperature meter. And no, I don't use any of those buffers like hygrozyme.

  13. I lost a branch on my easy ryder due to root issues. I had her in a 3 gal pot and she became root bound so I transplanted her to a 5 gal pot and she was happy. If you ever think you are root bound check my easy ryder journal to see what it looks like. At first the branch wilted and then actually dried up on the plant and fell off like a yellowed leaf when it brushed against the tent zipper. I was very sad. Glad to hear it's not your roots!

I have seen the union 2 times and will probably watch it again sometime haha.:smoke:

  14. he's doing hydro so there's not really a root bound issue....

seriously look into adding some root conditioners..i picked zone by dutch master becaus it is great for nutes in a res where temps may run high...if your water temps get above 80 degrees, your roots will not properly intake the nutrients...this has to do with the temps+oxygen levels if i remember correctly...it also makes fro nice healthy roots, really has done wonders for my res and roots.

as for the cheap meters, i have a hanna ppm/ph/temp meter and it works great. I've learned that if i can get my ppms adjusted to where the plant is happy and the ph stable that is half the work in growing a great plant.

i've also learned these little bitches drink up a lot of water, especially into flower. I hope that your res being empty was the problem, wishing for a speedy recovery! will be checking back for updates. grow babies grow!

  15. I wasn't sure if that was ever an issue in hydro so thanks for clearing that up! I've only grown in coco but I may eventually dabble in hydro so correct the hell outta me haha:smoke:

  16. Well, as you can see- the right plant is still noticeably lighter/yellower than the left one.
Despite the "symptoms", I still feel like she is healthy. I may be over worrying here, but you have to take note with such a difference between two female plants of the same strain and age.

What you guys think based on these pic updates?

(also, I know you see a hue to the roots, it looks more colored than they are, from the hps and the use of general hydroponics flora micro, which always stains the roots)

  17. Oh and I forgot to mention... Despite the possible illness, this journal just broke it's bud-porn cherry!

So you think they both look healthy despite the one yellowing?

  20. you roots look nice and healthy so that is a good sign...do you use any cal/mag? the yellowing could be a calmag def. especially if you are using ro water.

work on getting that ppm meter if you can, when you can get your mix in the right zone your plant will love you for it. Not sure where to get a cheap one, they all seem a little pricey to me. It was my 1st big purchase before i even started the grow and so far has proved to be the most valuable asset in my entire grow.

Other than the yellowing, its looking good. nice strong roots! and the starting of some buds! keep it up :hello:
