Smoking with people with AIDS

Discussion in 'Seasoned Marijuana Users' started by Sonymon, May 28, 2009.

  1. So i smoked wit this kid the other day who i just found out has AIDS. I'm tying to be cool about this but OMFG.

guys give me some feedback please

but at least im high now

  2. Unless you have open sores and/or cuts on your lips and mouth you're fine and even then you're probably ok. He should have told you though so you could make that choice yourself.

The HIV virus is actually very weak, which is why it can't be transmitted through the air as with adenovirus or influenza.

  3. Yea man you're flippin over nothin

  4. To be honest, I wouldn't want to do that. (Yes, I know you didn't know). Even though it's highly unlikely anything happened.

  6. It is transmitable by saliva... but your probably in the clear. That kid shouldn't be smoking with people like that without telling them.

  7. I would worry only if he had open sores on his mouth or around his lips.
I wouldn't like that either. So I feel you man.
    Anyways, no worries.

  8. Blacklist that son of a bitch. I'd rather never take the chance.

  9. Ouch, hes a person too.

But yeah just be careful not to get into close contact where saliva could be involved.

Perhaps that was a bit harsh. I just consider it very shady for him to do such a thing.

Either way, the kid with AIDS is already blacklisted, if the OP knows, there's no telling who else knows and news like this tends to spread like wildfire.

  11. Yeah the guy should've made it clear before smoking, but then its a hard subject to bring up.

''Oh so btw i have Aids.''

    'Super-Aids?'

    ''No seriously, i have Aids.''

'Are you, HIV-positive you have Aids?'

    ''YES I HAVE AIDS.''

    'lol aids.'

  12. lmao! :smoking:

  13. Maybe he was just fucking with you and your still stoned?:smoking:

  14. Word.

Not to hijack the thread, but can we get a verdict on Herpes? Genital, not cold sores. I'm told S2 can turn into S1, but not vice versa.
I ask 'cuz my wifes friend is coming into town, and we recently found out she has S2. We always blaze heavy when shes around, but now im kind of un-easy. So, what do you think? Should I (we) worry about getting the herp from smoking with someone? HELL, maybe we oughta run the whole list, its a fucked up world.

ask him if he has considered alternative treatments to the poison peddled by the pharmaceutical cartels.

  16. I'm not a doctor, just studied a lot of biology, but herpes is far more contagious than HIV if it's during a flare up. If it's not flaring up it's not very contagious at all. I have no idea what sharing a smoke with someone with herpes would pose in terms of risk.

  17. man people can be soooooo cruel, the chances of you getting HIV off the dude are like 1 in 10,000,000,000.......uness you make out with him and swap about a litre of saliva.........but if you feel easier not smoking with him again, take that option..........Peace out.........Sid

  18. You need to stop worrying, and stop treating him different because he has AIDS.

He had the balls to tell you.

:confused::confused::confused: Why can't you man up and be his friend while hes still around?:confused::confused::confused:

I've smoked with HIV patients, people with Hep, and have never worried about it. I've swapped blood with a buddy who has HIV while I was cleaning a wound of his. That happened years ago and theres still no sign.

If I can't catch it from swapping blood from wound to wound then you can at least smoke with the guy.

Edit:^^ I don't fucks with the herpes though.

  19. I wouldn't worry about it either, but like I said it would have been nice for his friend to tell him first and maybe even have an informed discussion about it.

HIV is VERY hard to catch. The reason it's more prevalent among homosexuals is that small tears of the anus let the virus get into the bloodstream.

It's even a lot harder to catch via heterosexual vaginal sex than it is through high risk activities like anal sex.

  20. Yeah I'd be worried about herpes and Hep C if I were you.

Hep is easily avoidable if you know the people you snort pills with, or roll you're own bill, or stay out of the military.
