smoking w/ depression?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Dankdogg, May 5, 2011.

  1. What are your thoughts? I've been diagnosed with depression and Im just wondering if I should even be smoking at all or as much as i do when I'm in this state. Experienced people should post their thoughts (experienced as in you know how im feeling) and don't tell me just to smoke because weed is the best plant ever and it makes everything awesome (that is sort of true though, most of the time), just post a reply and back it up somehow with facts i guess :D

  2. i've been diagnosed with clinical depression, and cannabis is a great anti-depression drug, which is why i prefer Sativa's when im in a slump/
  3. Weed is a downer. Nuff said.

SATIVA! SATIVA! SATIVA! Get a med card and only smoke Sativa.

  4. i was about to reply saying Sativa's are the way to go for depression and anxiety. nice save bro. haha.
  5. I'm also suffering from depression. In my experience marijuanna can both help, and make worse my depression. I guess it depends on what mood I'm in when I start smoking.

It can effect people differently, so I guess the only way to know if its ok for you to smoke would be to try it for a while.
  6. I have been diagnosed with clinical depression and anxiety. I take my meds everyday to control most of it, but when I feel really down or restless, I will take a few hits and calm myself down. Have nothing but good things to say about it. I do not, however, think that laying around all day stoned out of your mind is helpful. But using it to take the edge off sometimes works very well for me.
  7. This is straight from Granny's MMJ List
