Smoking small amounts VS large amounts.

  1. Personally after toking for 3-4 years, i've found that i'm much more productive when i smoke smaller amounts of weed. when i get high i feel more relaxed because i look at it as a way to chill and kick back when i don't have any responsibilities that i can't be high for.

    I also smoke because it's become a daily ritual. I get up, and most likely get high, and go about my day. if i have to work, i go blaze in the parking lot and go to work, smile warmly at my co workers and go about my day.

    if i have something important to do and can't get high for, (be it my job or something else) then i don't smoke. it's just illogical to get high when it would be counter-productive.

    SMALL AMOUNT CLARIFICATION. I'm talking either 1-2 snaps in a bong, or 4-5 one hitter bowls. or like a joint a day. lol i should just say... .5-.7g. i think that's a good estimation as to what i smoke.

    and i've gone through an ounce in a week as the most i've ever smoked, and i have to say, that was shitty. looking back it was a waste of weed. now i can smoke much less and still be high for about 1/2 - 3/4 of my day which is very enjoyable.

    thoughts?? how much do you guys blaze. can be specific amount or number of bong rips etc. basically this thread is for discusion of why the amount you smoke is perfect for you
     
  2. I like smoking small amounts. I usually like to take 2-3 hits, then put it away.
    At night I smoke a full bowl pack or two from the bong.

    I stretch out an 8th a week with this smoking routine. Also, I believe it keeps my tolerance in check.

I used to smoke 2-4 bowls at a time with friends and get massively stoned like twice a day. since my bust i have only gotten a one hitter and i have found that i can strategically schedule my toking sessions to be high all day. I would smoke 3-4 one hitters every four hours and i stay nicely stoned for the whole day. its really nice when you have an easy day of work ahead of you too :smoke:
     
  4. .5-1g a day is the butter zone for me... if I smoke any more than that, i'll have to start smoking blunts or packing up my huge bong slide full just to get high... and i'm with toasted... just taking a few fat rips every couple of hours, and u can be stoned pretty much all day
     
  5. Ive also found that smoking a half 5 in a one hitter you get higher than smoking a 1g bowl. Helps make weed last
     
  6. I've had periods where I would smoke fat bowls through the day, and periods where I would take a few hits in separate sessions throughout the day. The latter was probably more productive and rational, but the former is a fuckload more fun.
     
  7. I currently smoke very small amounts, I think. I don't own a scale, but a 15$ gram will last me about a week. On work-nights, I usually take two or three puffs from one small packed 1-hitter, on the weekends I'll vape some or I'll smoke a couple lightly packed bowls per day.


    A 1-hitter is enough to relax me. really. It's nice. I'll vape or smoke bowls if I want to get high and watch something funny or if I'm feeling depressed.
     
  8. Smoking smaller amounts more frequently beats smoking large amounts less frequently. Cleaner highs, more productive, less chance for mistakes etc..

    I dont usually have a lot of free time to be smoking every 30-60 minutes though
     
  9. Yeah seriously large amounts of weed just makes it so you can't function.
     
  10. my perfect zone changes, dependin on my week at least if i have a busy week (not likely recently fired) ill do a few hits a day, weekends, parties, and right after i make a purchase i like to get so stoned im gooooone lol
     
  11. i usually just pack enough for 2-3 hits in my bowl. then go about my day if i have to work or something. but on nights when i go out, i will smoke alot more then that if im with my friends or something chillin. i can get an eighth of headies to last 3-4 weeks! i got a bag of orange kush and its lasted me for 3 weeks so far, and theres enough for probably another couple days.
     
  12. I attend college/TAFE 4 days a week. I smoke a bowl in my pipe at the train station, I smoke another bowl before my first class, I smoke a bowl half way through class, I smoke another bowl between classes.. and this goes on until the day ends, then I usually smoke a joint before the train ride home. I dont usually smoke in the evenings, I take medication that puts me to sleep.. and I like to get high in the day time. I would smoke a quarter ounce a day if I could afford it. need a t-break? lmao
     
  13. We used to smoke constantly. Everyone would show up at one of our houses for work (construction, we all rode together) and there would be 2-3 joints before we left the house. I was probably around 17-18 and all the other guys were in their late 20's to mid 30's. It made starting an already hard day harder. Those 60's era smokers were some hard core stoners, mostly bikers and the like. They were always searching for more weed for running out quickly.

    Anymore, sometimes just knowing I have it is enough and I will put it off until late night, take a couple hits, wait it out, and sometimes forget about following through with extra tokes while moving on to other tasks about the house. It must get built up in your system after 20-30 years of smoking because first blaze of the day doesn't take very much. To the contrary, I never get noticeably higher throughout the day by smoking more unless I let myself completely straighten out and I don't care how good the weed is. I find myself just waiting until the best time of day for that first good blaze and leave it at that. By those standards, I find I get the best value and even overpriced weed then seems worth it.

    I am old school, still in the habit of holding my hits for all they are worth. I watch some of these kids now with clouds of smoke rolling allover blowing out full hits like one would tobacco smoke and they are always running out of weed and having to hit that spice crap.

    Sometimes I'll take extra hits throughout the day just for loving the taste of a certain brand (used to be that way with good hash, too) and whatever little bit it may add to a worn out first buzz.

    If I am busy, which I usually am, it is not uncommon for an oz. to last 3 months or more. I suppose it is not so much a habitual social event as it was when I was a lad, and that is probably the major influence of my less-is-more smoking habits these days. As you get older, you start thinking about all the smoke and resin you have dumped in your lungs over the years and counting the odds of the associated health risks attributed to smoking in general.

  15. i usually jus smoke small amounts, like 1-3 snaps a day. plus when you smoke a large amount, you get to the point where you're jus keeping teh fade up

  17. Micro toking is a good way to conserve your buds....i go thru maybe 0.5 a day micro toking grinded up bud.

    3 to 4 small rips...holding it in...will do the job. i stay medicated all day.

    special occasions however i get out the coffee grinder and grind up an 1/8th and roll massive joints or blunts.

  18. 2 battys can fix almost any problem, ive learned. and ill be high for 1-2 hrs.

    1 bowl can get me real high for 3-4 hrs. 2+ bowls can get me high for 3-5+ hrs.
     
  19. I tend to only smoke in the evenings as that is the time when I am done with my classes and can really enjoy the herb. Occasionally I will pack a .4 gram snap in the bong and be absolutely blazed for hours. If its a lazy day or a weekend I might pack a small bowl in the morning as a perfect start to the day but unless it's a crazy drunken weekend I wont be smoking more than a few times in 24hrs. If I had to guess on average I only go through .2-.3 grams a day and don't see myself increasing any time soon.
     
  20. lately been cutting back.. taking about 3 snaps every other day during the weeks in the evenings/after my shits done... trying to see if skipping every other day will keep me lifted on the smokin days to enjoy it more :)

    with those 3 snaps.. probably .2 or .3
    ... weekends are a different story though..celebrating my friends 21st this saturday.. so blunts n joints will be present on top of it all.
