Smoking, grades and Jobs?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Scarlet Cyanide, Jun 3, 2011.

  1. Hey guys, I'm a student in high school in the UK, at the moment I have a 4.0 GPA and just about to take a load of exams over the course of the next three weeks, over the last couple of weeks however I have started smoking good old Mary Jane, I've smoked 30 quid's worth in the last few weeks and don't intend on starting again until after my exams, I was wondering what kind of jobs / grades you guys have and if MJ affects them at all. At the moment I would like to get into Medical School and become a doctor, I am also planning on limiting my usage from how much ive been smoking now to only a few times per year. What do you guys think, would be nice to get an opinion :)

If you're an intelligent person before smoking, you'll be an intelligent person with added perspective after. That's all. Same goes for your personal drive, etc. Problems can still creep up on you, just take care of them, and don't use weed as a scapegoat for your problems.

-It does depend on your personality too lol, if you think it will be a problem, don't do it, and don't go to your exams high...=p

  3. /thread indeed.

  4. + don't let it take control of your life. You don't seem like the kind of person that would let that happen but just in case. Just put important things before weed. If you have to pay for books or something then buy books then weed blah blah you're smart enough to have already assumed this lol. Just thought I would tell you so that you know. :smoke:

  5. i wouldnt recommend studying high. But I smoked all day before I'd study for my college exams just to relax then I'd study the test for a couple hours and then blaze again right after to relax. I got a 90 and a 95 on those finals...

  6. I usually try not to smoke before exams but sometimes i end up smoking anyways. I woulld try to hold back the night of an exam

  7. It's easy, study like you normally would, take your exams, then smoke. Problem solved.

My field of employment is in Special Education. Over the years, many co-workers have commented on how patient I am with the kids. I have used cannabis for over 40 years and I feel it has shaped me into a more caring and compassionate person. My latest job evaluation rated me as an exceptional employee. I use cannabis several times a day.

Since you are going into the field of medicine, may I introduce you to what I do? Please click that first link in my sig and just read, hon! I am certain that you will find many happy surprises in my List. Cannabis is good for a quite a bit more than "just" getting high! :smoke:

I would suggest that you start with this study to get an idea of just how important cannabinoids are going to be in the future of medicine!

  9. Bad. Ass.

  10. I think you will find that some of the greatest minds in the world are seasoned herbsmen themselves so don't think it's going to bring you down - just keep motivated. I find that when I'm high I am able to do a vast amount of work. You just have to see what works for you. Good luck in the exams but don't let them stress you out!! One love!!!!

  11. Not /thread.

This is what people want to hear, in reality it does change you as a person if you smoke a lot. Ive been blazing hard these past few years and I feel sort of different as a person, more chilled out, more lazy, but at the same time, more social.
People change with MJ its not just me, I know many more people aswell.

  12. Please answer this question for me so I can call bullshit on all the propaganda out there... After 40 years of heavy cannabis, do you have any side effects at all?

  13. My problem was that I was an ADD stoner. So I was screwed from the get-go. So yes, maaaybe if you already had smarts before you started smoking bud, you'll be just as smart afterwords.. but I wouldn't know.

If you think smoking has slowed your brain down a bit, then stop... take a t break or something. Listen to what your body is trying to tell you... or you could just tell your body to go fuck itself and pour as much liquor, pills, powders and smoke as you can into that body of yours. Why not..you live only once!

oh and good luck with the exams

  14. when i have weed, i smoke it almost everyday, but i only do it at 6pm at the earliest, just to make sure i have all of my shit done beforehand.

stlcardsfan, I, unfortunately, like to smoke a pipe as well as vaporize, so I have a toker's cough. (I have a pipe full of "Hindu Skunk" going as I type)

My brain works well, in fact, I do my best writing when I am stoned. (I write occasionally for a small newspaper and comment in the online news.) I am able to understand what I read in the medical studies that I collect (click the 1st link in my sig), so any adverse mental effects appear to be minimal to the point of being unnoticeable! My most recent job evaluation rated me as an excellent employee.

The negative physical effects of cannabis have been minimal- the cough- which is my own fault and could be cured by exclusively vaping.

My immune system works well, but that could be due to many years of exposure to every germ in the book while working in schools.

My physical problems are thyroid deficiency, migraines (but not as long as I have cannabis), and a bit of arthritis. Otherwise, my health is pretty good for a 63 year old woman.

In contrast, my alcoholic mother had drank herself to death before she hit 60.

  16. I took a test stoned and got the highest score in the class.

  17. I smoke every day and my gpa is 3.6 right now. Although I go to art school so it sort of helps lol.

  18. So did I, and failed. Probably the lowest score in the class.

  19. Well, it was my favorite subject...
