Smoking Exotic Hash

    Greetings,

    This is my first topic post, and am sorry if I am not yet familiar with the (in)formalities of this message board.

    I have never been too much of a hash smoker, I'd prefer to smoke or vaporize buds. I've come into some high grade Bubble Pucks and very keen to enjoy them, especially since they come with such a fantastic recommendation.

    I have been around the block once or twice and I am familiar with "bots" and "hotkniving". For various reasons, both these methods do not appeal to me too much. In my experience I also feel that putting any hash, much less high quality hash onto a rolled joint or on top of a bowl is almost a waste. The fine taste of the hash is lost in the majority of cannabis bud.

    I am curious if any of you fine people can give me any other recommendations on how to enjoy some premium hash.

    my dad gets it from afganastan or however you spell it and he just heats up the hash then flakes off a bit and smokes it in a pipe with a lid so he can put his thumb over top it so none is wasted. and obvsly you get the awsome taste of some awsome hashish.

    i've seen a type of bell atatched to a bong.
    and they put the hash on a hookah coal.
    then put the bell over it.
    it worked amazing.

    the only time i tried hash i was very young and i tried to do what cheech and chong did at the end of up in smoke and it didnt work very well. id suggest to not do that.

    Nice to meet you. For the record, it is spelled "Afghanistan" and yes, I've had Afghani hash before, it is what actually perked my interest in the domestic Bubble Pucks. They're very different types of hash, but Afghanistan hash can be difficult to procure.

    That sounds like a good idea, to simple toke from a pipe. The pipe I use right now for cannabis is glass and I would be afraid that my hash will simply burn up a little then fall straight through the hole. Perhaps a good tobacco pipe would work better to smoke hash. This is something I will look into.

    What do you mean by "efficient"? Either method is just as efficient. The trick in smoking anything is not letting the product burn unnecessarily. The cannabis has the same potential in either a bubbler or a pipe, you just need to be sure to not put too much cannabis bud (or hash) into it so that it continues to burn while you are not inhaling.

    Greetings Wahman,

    Yeah, that's why a tobacco pipe would appeal to me. I have a tobacconist shop not terrible far from me, and a decent tobacco pipe (with a screen) is not very expensive at all.

    Also, on a side note, apparently I am able to vaporize hash. This comes as a little bit of a surprise to me, although it should have been fairly obvious. I'm unsure about temperature setting -- maybe I should make a new thread?

    Use the cup method bro, go on to you tube and search for smoking hash and you will see how they do it.

    The best tasting most efficient way to smoke hash is under glass in my opinion.

    Get a button (like bush for prez) or a safety pin. Bend the in upward so you can set the button or bottom of the safety pin on the table and the needle end will point almost staight up.

    Loosen a piece of hash and put it on the end of the needle. Light it like inscense, blow out, then cover immediately with a glass. Do all this on the edge of your table.

    Once the glass fills with smoke, get on your knees at the edge of the table and lift the corder of the glass and suck out all the smoke.

    If done right you should let enough air back in so it will burn a bit longer and fill back up with smoke.

    Hold, Cough, Repeat :)

    This is a very good idea. I dislike hotkiving because of all the lost smoke and consequently the odor which seems to permeate my furniture for days. I prefer to (if smoking indoors), be near an open window and using a method like a bong or pipe to avoid making my home smell like cannabis too much.

    This method allows for just that, especially if I were to remove the bottom of a plastic bottle, or even just use a funnel, i could stop the airflow with my thumb or a lid, let it fill with smoke and inhale.

    Thank you very much for this suggestion, countzer0, this is precisley the kind of response I was interested in. For my first thread, Grasscity.com has really proved itself a valuable source of information. Thank you!



    In regards to buccsluvr's response; I did what you recommended and was only able to find videos on the Cannabis Cup, and although they are very interesting, I'm left ignorant to what you were suggesting.

    My friend went to India last summer and picked up some hash and a marble chillum and that shit worked very well and it was ungodly!

    Yes, India has some fantastic hash. The type which is most popular is called Indian Charas, it's a very, very spicy hash.

    I won't go into details, but my acquaintance who is well-experienced at obtaining such things of a desirable nature can get me some, and I'm considering it. It is a very expensive hash, even at a discount price we're talking $500-550 for an ounce.

    I'm also not a big fan of gravity bongs, they make me uncomfortably high. I'm never looking to get "fucked up", I like to be lightly toasted.

    get a bucket and 2 liter bottle then cut the base off d bottle fill the bucket with water put the cut bottle in the water put a peice of foil over the top of the bottle and push it in a bit wit your finger then make it air tight by squishin d foil to the bottle neck. poke holes in the foil with a pin put the hash in the foil hold a flame over the hash and raise the bottle slowly take of d burnt hash wit the foil and inhale no smoke gets wasted and u only taste hash

    I personally like using a glass screen in my GonG, but if it is full melt hash, I like to make a "green screen" (bed of bud), and place the hash on top, in the middle. Some people like to "sandwich" the hash between two layers of buds.

    Funny that nobody suggested rolling it up in a joint...

    Just heat it a bit, crumble it up as finely as you can, then blend it with some cigarette tobacco, roll up your spliff and voila. If you crumbled it it up into very small pieces it should burn evenly without hot pieces of hash dropping out of it. If you get the mix right, it won't smell or taste of tobacco at all and be delicious and smooth to smoke.
    In europe they like to roll soft (afghan or indian) hash into VERY thin strings with a telephone card and then put a couple of them into a spliff with some weed and/or tobacco.

    I've smoked many different kinds of hashish (moroccan, afghan, charas, lebanese, 'skuff'), always in joints and the flavor always comes through.

    Sorry I didn't read all the posts, so I'm not sure if this has been resolved...

    Whenever I smoke hash, generally put a screen on top of my pipe. It fits the bowl perfectly, and sits kinda right in the middle, not too low or too high. I then break up the hash into miniscule chunks (either with a knife or hands, I prefer a knife because I usually get kief on my hands otherwise) and set them on top of the screen, all in one corner of the bowl. With your pile of mini-chunks in one area of the bowl, slowly bring your already-lit lighter toward the hash. It's kind of like cornering a bowl, only being more careful. Just let the flame hover over the hash while SLOOOOOOWLY inhaling, and a piece of hash should start to cherry. Sometimes, the hash will ignite, in which case i put the bottom of the lighter on the flame to put it out. Once one of your small chunks cherries, you can watch the ember slowly move uniformly across the piece of hash. I repeat this until the bowl is done.

    Using the above method, you can get extremely stoned by smoking under .1 g at a time. Don't believe me? Try it. I hand press my grinder kief, and when I do so, I usually only yield about .6 or .7 grams at a time. This tiny piece, which is usually about a month's worth of heads and decent nugs with the occasional beasters, will continue to get me high again and again.

    I'm sure you could replicate my technique while using larger chunks of hash, which will be more convenient to smoke, but I'm sure there will be more being wasted. So if you love hash and have access to it as minimally as I do, I'd smoke it my way. If not, just toss a screen on your favorite pipe/bong/bubbler and toke up.

    I am a regular smoker, I usually smoke a few times a day. If it's my first smoke of the day, 2-4 hits this way will get me pretty high. However, I also have a very large lung capacity, and have gotten very good at this technique from practicing. Good luck!

    use a hakko to smoke hash oil.normal hash u can just put in a bong and smoke
