Ok, I posted this before the site went on the fritz and it got deleted, now im not even gonna explain it and just give you the link and a short description cuz i dont want to type all that shit out again. Moderate users experienced a five point increase in IQ, Non users only experienced 2-3. Whilst heavy users found a drop in IQ of four points. These results were the real ones the article exaggerated it a bit. They tested first when participants were preteen then again when they were young adults. Moderate use means less than five joints a week. Pot makes you smart! | Cannabis Culture
The title is biased. 4 IQ point increase for a light smoker, 4 decrease for a heavy smoker. We don't know if the IQs were spaced out or if there were more higher IQs or lower IQs, or what the level of the IQs were. I'm all for legalizing wees and getting the facts out there, but let's not mislead people.
its based on a mean score of a pool of around 70 people for each category they tested on 9-12 year olds, and again for 17-20 year olds. They did checks on marijuana usage by self reports and urine samples. here is the link for the study Current and former marijuana use: preliminary findings of a longitudinal study of effects on IQ in young adults Your right for one thing its not completely accurate but either way it shows that moderate marijuana usage doesn't have a significant effect on I.Q. scores. And they cant exactly scientifically predict its effects on creative and musical intelligence's those of which marijuana could potentially enhance also.
