Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by twilly123, Aug 31, 2012.

  1. i was wondering, if people decarb weed before making edibles, then why not decarb weed all the time, before smoking it? if this makes edibles stronger wouldnt it work for smoking too?

  2. You light it on fire, you are decarbing it I assume

You decarb for edibles because when you eat it you're not introducing any heat, therefore not activating the thc. When you smoke or vape you're heating up the thc to activate it. I don't think decarbing and then smoking would get you high
