  1. yea so now there is a smoking ban in ohio. you cant smoke in bars or any public places within 30 feet. you cant smoke in any resturant so it kinda sucks. any other of you guys have smoking bans in your state...?

  2. Can't smoke inside public buildings here, but at least we got the indian casinos so we can chain smoke as we watch our money disappear. I go for the buffet...at 20 bucks the house always loses.

  3. new jersey's smoking ban went into effect about 6 months ago. that was before i smoked cigs, and i didn't like it.

  4. We've had that in NY for years now. Sure it's an small hastle initially, but you'll get used to it eventually. After all, people who don't smoke shouldnt be forced to inhale our smoke. I never smoke before my meal at a resturaunt anyway; it effects the taste.

  5. It can't be enforced until June, although it is already in effect...so If u want to be a dick, puff away...and blow the smoke in their faces, haha. We could have a smokers sit in, haha...

  6. I live in NW ohio and the smoking ban here is stupid if you ask me when factorys can pollut the air x10

  7. Not yet, but I bet we'll get one here in PA soon...

I am a non-smoker, so I kinda welcome the ban. Just because people are addicted to nicotine, doesn't mean those who aren't should be forced to breathe the second hand smoke. It's not really fair that our bodies should be damaged because of someone else's addiction...

BUT in all fairness... They should just make a smoking section that's a completely different room (like a smoker's lounge at some places of employment), with a good exhaust system... This way EVERYONE wins...

But yeah... GO NON-SMOKING BANS! I really like the states that have it so you can't smoke in your car with children, and also in your home if you have children. Children's bodies are still developing, and the smoke hinders that development - so it's a GOOD law - even if it inconveniences some of the smokers (like it's such a HUGE inconvenience to go outside/in the garage anywayz, sheesh)...

  8. good
ontario has had a smoking ban since june 1st i think, and nothing has really changed.
i think they should ban cigs completly, the sale and possession.

  9. fuck that, you don't think you have the right to choose to ingest whatever the hell you want? i think i was born with that right, and thats just ridiculous.

Ohio smoking ban is going to blow. i'm in Columbus, so we have already had it for a while, but not this bad, and it has already sucked.

  10. there's sumthing like that in chicago but not as shitty

  11. its being enforced till june so dont worry bout it

  12. I live in the uk and most of the places around here support the none smoking ban.

Me being a smoker thinks this sucks but i also have respect for people that dont want to smoke and also dont want someone elses stail smoke in there lungs.

  13. good, cigarettes are cancer sticks. :/

  14. Rhode Island has a smoking ban- and all I can say is Good. Cigs are nasty- half the people smoking them want to quit anyway.

The only thing I don't like about the smoking ban is all the lazy- inconsiderate smokers who just throw there buts on the ground even when there is a recepticle right there.

  15. People are very healthy nowadays. They'll walk down city streets breathing in all the car exhaust in the world without a worry or a care, but damn you to hell for being a vile bastard for lighting up that cigarette!

  16. Your comparing two different things. Exhaust is something- no matter what (unless amish) have to deal with, there is no other realistic way around it. This is called pollution-it is circumstantial, meaning you have no control (or limited).

Smoking cigarretes on the other hand is situational, meaning you put yourself on whatever side you want- people have a choice to never smoke in there lives, and they should not have to share a room with people who do- it's not like we all don't know how bad cigarrette smoke is, especially second hand.

  17. Not really, if people could smoke where ever they wished to it would be exactly how you describe exhaust. You could choose not to go to one resturant because of a smoker, but you'd find more in the next one you tried to go too. It wouldn't be situational, it would be "circumstantial" as you put it. They're both the same, the only difference is, no one makes areas of a city exhaust free, but they do make them smoke free.

*Shrugs* I'd rather breath the smoke. That may just be me though.

  18. i'm not sure what to think of people who are pro-weed, but anti-tobacco. seems almost hypocritical to a point.

  19. Like I said- We cannot get by without some forms of pollution- we will always have to deal with some forms.

Smoking is a choice- a choice an INDIVIDUAL makes. Just cause some people want to pollute there bodies doesn't mean everyone should suffer.
