Smoking after walking pneumonia

  1. I've had a walking pneumonia for about a week now and just finished my medication called z-pack or something of that nature. I know smoking while my lungs are still infected is something to avoid but I'm wondering specifically how long I should wait. I've seen multiple threads on the topic, but none with a clear cut time frame to wait.

Does anyone know how long I should hold out on smoking? I've just finished my z-pack which was a prescription for about 5 days and I had the pneumonia about 2-3 days before that. I've haven't smoked for about 2 weeks. When can I resume again safely?
