Smoking a smaller chillum

    Hey guys, newbie here.

    My question is about chillums. I've read up on how you're supposed to smoke them. I understand how it's not respectful for your lips to touch them.

    However, my chillum is only about 3 inches long, it's glass, and a bit thick. Plus I have really thin, tiny hands. It's really hard to smoke that way.

    Is it okay if I just smoke that like I would a one-hitter? I haven't found any tutorials that deal with chillums that look like mine.

    Chillums ftw! i bought a blue candy kane lookin chillum, good sneak and toke.
    Get's clogged with resin fast though i'm always scrapping this fucker with paper clips lol.

    i want a steam roller but they are priced at like 100.00 + for the one i want.

    The thing I hate about my chillum is that it always burns the back of my throat when I smoke. It hurts too much to actually smoke out of it anymore. It's ridiculous :smoke:

    It's not disrespectful, it's just traditional to smoke it using a cloth and your hands, plus helps to smoke the piece more since it helps to dissipate heat on the piece (which is always a problem since the size of chillums).

    Smoke how ya want. I smoke with a white lighter, IDGAF what people say to me about it.

    I smoke mine just like any other glass piece with mouth on it. We arent in tfibes smoking wooden chillums n shit no more, do what you want. I just use it like a one-hitter with a bigger bowl can usually rip 5 hits

    I agree with the whole "it's yours, do what you want with it" mentality. Thanks for the reassurance of that anyways, though. :)

    I also like to know and respect different cultures and the origins of things. Even though I'm not from that culture, I don't like the idea of being blatantly disrespectful even if no one knows. I guess it's not as big of a deal as I thought, though, based on what you are all telling me. Things I read made it seem like a violation of etiquette or respect to put your mouth to it.

    Can't disrespect someone you don't know, or are nowhere near.

    It's disrespectful to not publically stone your wife for being unfaithful. Does that mean we are disrespecting those people by allowing a wife to walk off free from cheating, instead of killing her? No way.

    If you have to put your lips on it just wipe it off before you pass it. It's not like a joint it won't get soggy and gross.

    Glad to see you have such a strong opinion on this question. However, it's already been answered, and I've already explained why I asked advice on how to smoke my own piece. As a Pokemon-avatar brother, I would expect you to calm down.

    Regardless of the size of your chillum, you CAN smoke it the traditional way you mentioned. If you haven't already, check out my thread:

    Its easy and there are several variations to it. This way the smoke is cooled more and your palm acts as an extra chamber - delivering bigger hits! But if you don't feel like it you can always just use it like a one hitter.. after all its your pipe dude :smoke:
