Smokey's grow along #1. Pink kush, bruce banner, purple power, blackjack.

Discussion in 'Indoor Grow Journals' started by sweedright, Aug 13, 2023.

  1. Welcome all. This grow journal is a collaboration between myself and two other growers who were kind enough to participate on such short notice: Thank you to Mr. @Jacques Strappe and Mr. @CheapHomeGrown for joing me on this run. If this goes well, I'll definitely try to do it again.

For my run I'm doing two Pink Kush from barneys farm. 3 gallon fabric pots, PRO-MIX HP, GHP maxi-bloom from start to finish, under spider farmer sf1000 for 5 week veg then into 3x3 flower tent under sf2000 to harvest.

I believe jacques dropped his seed yesterday, and I think cheaphomegrown is doing his in the next few days. Good luck boys, lets grow some kick ass smoke!

  6. Big fan of Kush strains in general, looking forward to seeing how some Barney's farm seeds do for you!

You doing photos or autos? I won't be starting a new crop for a few weeks (mid harvesting and curing atm) but if you guys are running photos maybe I'll throw out another handful of my Banner seeds and set aside any autos that emerge and see if they can catch up.

AC crapped out in the drying tent last night, now its setting dangerously high just on ambient temps (around 72F), and weighing wether I want to just ride it out for the next day or two or run my ass down to the store an grab a new AC unit.

Next crop will be drying in winter temps so I may not need an AC until next spring summer, and I'm sure I can find one much cheaper via yardsale or craigslist rather than buying new, provided I have time to shop around.

Anyway looking forward to seeing how everyone does! Best of luck mates!

  10. Thats the problem, I've got my eye on one of those real nice freestanding AC / heat pump units with a 4 inch exhaust I can tie right into existing grow area duct. So if I gotta buy something new I was thinking to get one that does AC, but also heat, so I can just set it and forget it whether I need the areas warmer or cooler. (especially falls here can be 80+ one day and 45 the next).

Things like $400 bucks though, I'll probably grab it later this evening as I still have several plants to cut / dry and cure on this crop, just sucks because I know if I could have waited until like October I could probably get one much cheaper. (or even get a temp used one off craigslist for like $50 once fall hits)

  14. I'd like to welcome @glueberry_crunch to the grow, he has kindly decided to grow with us. I believe he's settled on Blackjack for the strain.
