Smokers Help.

Discussion in 'Fitness, Health & Nutrition' started by hydrox, Jan 6, 2013.

  1. Ive recently gone back to the gym after slacking for many months. (Not a new years res) im a everyday pack a day smoker. How many other people find it hard to get into the groove of working out and running although not being able to breath? Haha. What are some hood ways to lean myself away from them? Ive stopped before for 3 weeks and a might o drinking called for a pack . I really am trying to get dedicated to cardio and working out but after 5 mins of running on the treadmill my lungs feel like they are going to explode. Anyone have a little tip that they have used?

  2. i presume you are talking about cigarettes and not "smoking" joints.

well... i'd love to give you a comforting answer, but cigarettes will shut down your lung capacity.

it's a solid addiction. i get it... trust me.
i've heard people switching to e-cigs, and all-in-all it's a better alternative (or so it seems).

i tried to combine cigarettes, alcohol and work outs in one... and failed for years. although i did maintain an active lifestyle.

it's all about priorities, my friend. figure out which one you want most, and work slowly and surely towards that goal.

  3. Yeah sorry i didn't specify cigarettes hah. Its d defiantly one of the worse addictions ever. I guess its also mind over matter when it comes to quitting.
