Smoke shop etiquette?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by TokedTurtle, Feb 1, 2014.

  1. Sorry if this has been asked before. I tried to search for a similar topic but wasn't even sure what to search for.

My friend broke my $65 ashcatcher and I am looking to replace it. However, I have no idea what size my bong takes and I don't want to buy the wrong thing as most shops don't do returns on that kind of thing.

Is it okay to clean (like really really well) my downstem/bowl and bring it in as a reference? I don't want to cause any trouble.

  2. although you could do that (it HAS to be 100% spotless), you could just post some pics on here, and blades will assist.

If you can't see/smell anything I doubt they would care. Some shops will allow you to exchange it but you'd better ask first.

  4. There's 2 sizes 18mm and 14mm, and a dime (currency) should cover a 14 and fall into an 18Sent from my XT1080 using Grasscity Forum mobile app

  5. totally depends on the shop owners

  6. I'll try that.

  7. I would be could you really tell just by the pics?

  8. Grab a ruler or print one if you dont own one

  9. I'll try not to judge you if you don't own a ruler.

  10. It'll either be 14mm or 18mm, should be able to tell them apart.

Although I know for a fact the shop I normally go to wouldn't care, I've blazed with the owner lots in the backroom, and he lets people try shit out first if you somewhat know him. Every store/owner is different though. You could bring a 14mm or 18mm socket in to compare quick, but again it should be fairly noticeable.
