smoke detectors?

    There's a smoke detector on the ceiling in my room. If I smoke in my room will, do I have to worry about setting it off? What about with the window open?

    i dont think itd go off ive smoked in rooms with smoke detectors and they never went off

    Depends on the detector. I've seen steam set some off, but I've smoked out rooms that didn't set off the detector. Just put a fan on the opposite side of the room from the window, pointed at the window, and blow towards the opening. Works every time.

    Take the battery out or unhook it...problem solved.
