Smoke buddy air filter not working wtf

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by 420Juggalo610, Jan 28, 2014.

1. I bought my smoke buddy air filter about a year ago and now I can hardly blow smoke into it. When I exhale into it I don't feel any air coming out of the back. Anyone that owns one of if its just filled or is it broke?

2. Probably at the end of its life, filled with resin.

3. All good things must come to an end...

4. Yeah OP, you're actually pretty lucky that it lasted a year. You can't hold no groove, if you ain't got no pocket.

5. But hell, they're 11 bucks on amazon. A new one won't set you back too hard. You can't hold no groove, if you ain't got no pocket.

6. A year ago Jesus lol there 20$ ur supposed to replace em every 3-6 months I wouldn't expect somthing 20$ to last that long Sent from my iPhone using Grasscity Forum mobile app

7. Anyone ever tried to replace the charcoal in it? I ain't all about spending money if I can fix it myself...I don't have one...was just asking in case.

8. i read a tip that if you put it in your microwwave and heat it up for 5-10 seconds, then blow through it, it will help. i did it with my smoke buddy mini and it worked wonderfully, but i heat it up too long at one point and got a little messed up. if you dont wanna go through it just throw in the 10-15 for a new one.

9. Crack that bitch open and go to the pet store for some aquarium activated carbon. Its exactly the same stuff that's in there and you get a huge tub for $5.

Only thing you gotta do is rinse the pellets with water so they don't have all the dust on them from shipping.

10. I thought they were only advertised to be used for a month?

11. Would it really matter if he's blowing out? Probably should just in case anyways though

12.

That's how they make money, they probably get less efficient over time.

I've seen a how-to on carbon sploofs and that's what they did, so I'm gonna assume its safer that way.

13.
I thought they were only advertised to be used for a month?
they say around 300 uses. You can't hold no groove, if you ain't got no pocket.

14. Yeah a year is probably the most you could expect out of a Smoke Buddy but as a user said you could try putting it in the microwave no more than 10 seconds cause once I put my smoke jr for about 15 seconds and the lower part kinda melted and let all the carbon and titanium pieces out

15. 2nd thattt

16. SMOKE BUDDY is a waste of money and resources! I can't imagine throwing this thing out every month! I would rather spend that money on meds! I have used mine for a month and it really does nothing for the smell. I used a Spoof before that, it masked smell MUCH better!

17. Are you using it right? It hides all smell and visible smoke from exhale. Are you taking into account the burning smoke that comes off your bowl, blunt, joint, etc etc that the smoke buddy can't cover up.

And you got to remember a spoof with drier sheets mask smells the smoke budddy eliminates the smoke and smell.

18. I don't think it takes a genius to figure out how to blow smoke through this thing. Considering how many people have the same problem, here and on Amazon, maybe people should just consider that it's not a perfect product! That IS a possibility you know, a lot more possible than this many people not blowing smoke through a black plastic thing right...

19. I bought one from a smoke shop around my job for 10.99, only used it a couple of times though.
Not enough for something to actually happen to it...It's an ok little thing, but I've always had
a suspicion of something that cheap can easily stop working.

Hell, now that I think about it I don't even know where it is.
