Smogs 2nd run of Afghan Goo in a SOG

  1. most of the clones are getting way big. i placed the biggest ones on the outside but the smaller ones in the center are still looking good. gonna do some work tomorrow, hook up the inline fan and put the light together. may start flowering tomorrow too, not sure yet may give the smaller ones a few more days, i know theyre healthy enough now i dont know. figure it out tomorrow.

  2. lol well its only taken 6 fucking months to make this journal what i made the title as but it feels good to have my shit straightened out and on the way. clones in the table about to flower. some mothers vegging for next go around and some more clones to get rid of and to turn into mothers for the time after that. ive kind of been thinking about taking a few of the blue dream clones out to veg and replace the ones taken out with one or two of the Goos, some of them are just so bushy and fat i cant imagine what it would look like at week 8. yeah most likely i will put one of the goos in there. ill get some new pics up tomorrow after i get the work done.

  3. well done,
    and porn is always welcome.

  4. and here is some porn for you freaks. also went to set up the AAW and i lost the directions on how to put it together. i did get the inline fan and a fan in the tent hooked up. the big air king oscillating fans are killer even on 1 they more a lot of air most likely i wont turn it on till i get the 600 going cause i had it on for a little bit tonight and it was beating up the clones in the front row. the smaller clones in the middle look good up close but i am really leaning to taking a few out to make room for one of the Goos. also any thoughts on when to prune the clones? i dont want to have a bunch of secondary branches and little hairy buds i just want main colas. i was thinking around the second week or so, when i know theyre about done stretching.

  5. got the 600 set up. pruned the clones. changed out the res. set up a trellis. started the flower cycle. forgot my camera so tomorrow when i check the res ill get some pics. oh and also took out the 5 puniest clones and put in one of the Goos. i was kind of not wanting to do that because ill then 2 different strains that will probably be done at different times and wont be able to flush. oh well i did it anyways. and the adjust a wing i got is a cheapo made in china i think the one from germany is textured glass coated this is just real polished metal. the curve on it puts out two real bright lines of reflected light. dont like that too much its real hot may cook the plants that they hit. the textured finish i would bet would not have that.

  6. Subbed for the rest of this one. I've been interested in sog but it's something that's not possible for me at the moment. I will watch enviously, good luck brother

  7. i love my medium A wings ;) not cheap  but what is when you want quality product.

  8. I've always been curious about trying a sog, I'm really glad I found this grow so early on.

Boss, they're looking nice. Really looking forward to watching these go through flower.

  9. thanks man you should check out my other grow journal i think i called 3x6 and 2 600, something like that, but i had i think 30 or so afghan goos straight from root to flower and like 8 big multibranch plants in the 3x6 and they looked beautiful till i messed up one day and left the pumps unplugged for a few days. i dont know how to have the other journals linked to my posts like you guys. how do you?

yeah i know that doesnt seem right to me at all, think im just going to get the nicer one the price is actually pretty close to being the same, but when i bought the cheapo i didnt realize that they were actually different models and stuff, and i still need to get a dehumidifier. but if the plants arent getting the right light its all for naught might as well pony up some cash.

  14. alright things are going good, though some of the leaves are showing a deficiency, the lower older leaves in between the veins are going brown, and some of the newer leaves are going yellow. im going to do a res change over the weekend and put more nutes in. im just wondering but since theyre stretching and growing so fast could it be a nitrogen deficiency? would putting a tad bit of veg nutes help or just stick with the flowering nutes? im using floranova one part. i forget the actual values but ill look at them when i go back, maybe keep the veg nutes going the first few weeks then when theyre done growing go to the flowering nutes?

as you can see the clones are getting big and it does look like a green sea, you can see the first Goo i put in the table in the 3rd pic off to the right. the AAW was pissing me off so i just took off the wires and letting it hang it looks better now, more like your AAW's middy. i also took 5 more of the Dreams out cause they were slow and just going to get buried and replaced them with 2 more of the Goos as you can see in the fifth and sixth pic. i love that about a table i can just take out or throw in whatever i want and its easy, probably should have waited a while before filling the empty space with hydroton its kind of a pain making a clean spot for the net pots to sit. so with the extra elbow room in the 3x3 im training the better looking and bigger Goos so theyll have a shit ton of ready to cut clones.

the other clones i have rooting are doing good and ild say they are rooting much faster without veg nutes in the water just the rhizotonic, but the leaves dry and stiff. im not sure if its because there were no nutes in the water or cause theyre back in a corner without a fan moving the air around them. but most of them are rooted, i put a little bit of veg nutes in there, if that was the case. maybe the lights are just too close and with no fan...

another thing im impressed with is that, and i know its just one 600w in an 8x8x6.5ft tent but the temp doesnt get above 70F, with the lights off its like 65 67, and i have the 600 like less than a foot, probably more like less than 10 inches from the plant tops. im loving this open reflector. i did take off the super spreader it just seemed to block more light than anything fucking weak sauce.

i am fucking happy as hell though, with the light so close that reflector does seem to be covering everything pretty well, going to be nutting in my pants when i get the 1000w up next cycle. i am definatly going have to invest in more tables specifically for vegging clones before they go in the table if i want to move the 3x3 in the tent and get a semi perpetual grow going.

    enjoy

  15. just did a quick count with 10 weeks to flower a few weeks to dry and cure its going to be a green christmas this year

  16. can you slow your extraction fan down a bit ? it might help you raise the day temps a bit more.
whats your humidity in the clone area ? 70%+, & a computer fan wired into an old phone charger worked well in my old clone room for air movement.

no point in you lighting the walls in your grow room...
i would make some new wires for the wing if your going to keep it , the wing should have a small curve to them, just so that when you LOOK across the wing the bulb should just out of site and not hanging below the wing, that is why when you buy a real ajustawing, the bulb fitting can move up and down.

i like the look of the sog Boss, i bet you can't wait till christmas.

  17. After a month long cure, my buds should be done by christmas as well. :hello:

The clones look really nice. How often do you flood your tables? I've never tried a SOG, but have always wanted to know more about them.

  18. no i dont have a speed control on my exhaust fan, im not worried about it being too low right now once i put a dehumidifier in there the hot exhaust should raise the temp some but im liking the temp where its at. the humidity in the room is maxing out the hydrometer and it stays on 99%. mmm im pretty sure the reflector does have an adjustment for the bulb height i didnt think of that ill look at that next time i get over there. i flood once an hour and only when the light is on. sog in a flood table is easy i love it and i only put the hydroton in there so it would take up a bunch of the space and the res wouldnt empty so much.

  19. Maxing out the hydrometer, yikes! Aren't you worried about any fungus like powdery mildew or anything of the like?

  20. not much, im really just worried about when the buds get fat and them getting moldy on the inside. but now that you say something i want to get the humidity in check soon, but ive never had trouble with mold other than a few buds getting moldy inside.
