I have these two bottles of cologne (perfume? don't know what to call it in English). They are both very cheap and smell kinda alcoholic. So yesterday I decided to spray one on each wrist and try to decide which one smells better. So I did, and smelled each of them with my nose fairly close to my wrist. On the second one, when I smelled it, all of a sudden it felt like my head was a balloon that was inflated and then deflated VERY quickly. It went "WHHHOOOMP!" Everything was dark except I felt like my head had colours. It only lasted for a split second, and I was instantly back to normal. I was high at the time (on weed, not perfume haha). What happened to me? Was it the perfume that did it or could it have been me just being high?
I've seen a documentary about that. This was nothing like it. When I smelled it, my attention was all directed towards my head, as it felt like it was increasing to about 3 times its size and then back to normal in a split second. I don't remember if I had my eyes closed or not but everything was black, except for a kind of aura around my head. Also, it felt like I could visually see it happening, sort of. I didn't see my facial features but I saw the colours in a round shape around the head. It was really weird and it kinda scared me.
Also the way you inhaled the cologne vapors off your wrist. Kinda accidentally treated it like an inhalant im guessing?
Yea, your not supposed to inhale that directly. Probably the combination of you inhaling it, plus weed is a bronchial dilator and opens up your lungs more, which could make it easier to "inhale". You just gotta waft that shit near your nose, ever take chemistry in HS?
I took one year of it. Learned how to combine weird letter and number combinations but that's about it. I also suspected it was the cheapness of the cologne. I don't wear it because it smells like ethanol. Is this what happens if you inhale ethanol/alcohol?
It was probably from a multitude of factors I would think. Lower blood pressure and pulse will make it harder to send oxygen to your brain, which is why some people stand up off the couch after toking for a while, and just black out and fall down. That plus some alcohol fumes probably made your brain go, "Whoa, dont smell that shit", and you might have inhaled more than you realized, being stoned and all. Just dont make a habit of it edit: the reason why I mentioned chemistry is because they teach the technique of "wafting" to smell something, but not inhale it. As far as the effects of inhaling alcohol/ethanol, idk really.
Ah I see. Thanks man. I wasn't planning on doing this again haha. It was an interesting experience but not necessarily an enjoyable one.
