Is it normal for buds to change smell while drying? I'm 3 days into a dry and the room has been 74f and 55rh. When I trimmed the buds they had that dank smell, now not so much, more of a "green" smell. I know a lot of smell is gotten in the cure just didn't remember the smell changing like this last time. No noticeable mold either, I have it a good hard look with a loupe. Thanks in advance for info.
Yes, it's normal. Some strains will smell "earthy" while drying. The buds should regain their natural smell back during the curing process.
hey yeah the whole dry and cure thing is different from plant to plant. over the years iv had. pine cone smelling buds, fresh cut grass etc etc but then with time it will change to that nice stinking bud stink.. lower the humidity if you can 30s would be best.. then once crispy straight into jars n burp daily for first week. then every other day for 4 weeks n boom the bud is done
