Smartpots Coco/perlite Size ?

Discussion in 'Grow Room Design/Setup' started by tomh2b, Feb 1, 2019.

  1. what size smartpots you guys use for 4-5week veg + flower? ive tried 5gal which took wayyyy too much water for nothing, Ive tried 1gal too, but it dries out quick last weeks of flowering. yield average around 3.5oz with 5gal or 1gal, didnt see difference in that but 5gal are usually taller.

  2. Depends on tent size and how many plants u wanna run

  3. 2x4. 2... 5weeks apart

  4. and why 3 gallon vs 1-2gallon?

  5. God told me 3 gallons is best for coco.
    :hookah:

  6. Lol I obviously read it somewhere maybe it WAS in the Bible.. jk
But 3 gal is what I’ve got

  7. :yay:hahah. like , will it increase yield or something Versus 1 or 2gal? how often do you water in 3gal? i love to use less media:ey:

  8. I don't use smartpots but I do use airpots and I use 2.5 gallons. I feed daily in veg and twice a day in flower.

  9. how long do you veg? average yield ?

  10. I usually veg for 5-6 weeks and my average yield per plant is around 6-7oz.

  11. Can you feed 2-3 times a day? If so, one gallon pots with 4 week vegged clones to flower, yields 3-5 ounces per plant.

If once a day is your thing, 3 gallons should be good but yield will be less.

  12. oh really, a dripfeed or something with the 1gal would give better result than the 3gal handfed?

  13. Yes. You get 2-3 times the feeds and fresh oxygenated nutrients each time

  14. I have 20 sites on my manifold. I’ve only used 12 at a time but it works out to vegging clones for 4 weeks from rooting and flipping to flower. Average yield per plant is 3.5-5oz depending on genetics and any training you do.

Best thing is when plants are done, you just fill the res with clean phd water and let them fade out the use what’s left in them. I usually harvest at 150-200 ppm (100ppm tap) and get the good white ash smoke
