Smart meters can send information about your aplliances and/or usage to the electricity company. They also make power prohibitvely expensive, as it is already getting regardless. They also are dangerous to be close to, even on the other side of a wall, due to their radiation output. There are crackdowns on medical marijuana. With many states being threatened into withdrawing new laws in the US. My own country recently made synthetic cannabinoids and 1000 other plant species illegal. Is this the beginning of the end, the end of cannabis, perhaps the powers that be will succed in eliminating this most helpful plant (helpful to the "undesirables") from the earth. Probably not, but it will make things more difficult. Soon they will make it illegal to be happy in my country, as they debate alcohol prohibition also (I don't drink).
