Greetings, exactly two weeks ago I switched from a vegging light schedule to a flowering schedule (indoor grow) and all was fine. At vegging the schedule was from 6 am to 12 pm midnight and now it's 6 am to 6pm. Today at midnight for some reason the lights turned on, I was around however and quickly turned them off. Does anyone have any idea at all why the timer would have done this? Also will my plants be fine? Thanks, madmax3
Your plants should be fine. Just try not to let it happen anymore :\... Make sure your timer is set correctly. I forgot to turn the timer back on after I set it and my plants got light for an extra hour during flower one time :\. How old is the timer?..is it a cheap timer?
I think it's a fairly new timer, nothing from the 90s or anything like that, reasonably cheap I'm guessing. It was bought about 2-3 years ago and sorta looks like this Amazon.com: Woods 59377 Digital 7-Day Lamp/Appliance Timer with 2 Outlets, Up to 8 On/Off Settings per day and Battery Back Up: Home Improvement I'm worried about it hermying but I'm hoping and doubting it will happen, it was for about a few seconds. Was that extra hour added on during the light stage or randomly after some time of dark?
mine was an extra hour added and I didn't notice it do anything at all. Light leak for long periods of time is what will screw you.
