Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by Brian_maes, Aug 12, 2019.

  1. this plant is 6 weeks old. I have two of them. This one is smaller than the other. While the plant is rather small i see some fistols. Will i get some harvest? I also see these weird spots on the leaves. What could this be and can i fix this? Any help is appreciated :) thanks!

  3. Every auto I've grown came out tiny. I think I don't water enough while young

  4. Similar to mine? How many grams did you harvest? Thanks

  5. Hey buddy..
I would not plan on more than like a 1/8 3 to 4 grams...
Specially if it's small to start it will not magically have a growth spurt . What you see is what you will get..
Some autos fill out at week 8-10 but that's a healthy plant . Yours is not it is stunted.

  6. How can you tell if a plant is stunted? What could be the reason for this? Thanks

  7. Looks a lot like spider mite damage to me. Try a mild solution of dish soap and water and spray 2 times a day. Once at lights out and once about an hour before lights on. It probably is not stunted, just indica leaning. I've got 2 blackberry auto's going now and they aren't supposed to get any taller than 28-36 inches tall. As to the harvest weight, who knows. :confused_2:

  8. Thanks a lot man! I tries the dish soap thing but i was afraid to spray it more than once every 2-3 days. What do you mean with indica leaning? Thanks!

  9. Indica strains tend to be on the short side. Sativa strains tend to be on the tall side. Then there are the hybrids (mixes of Indica and Sativa) and they are classified as either Indica leaning (more Indica than Sativa) and Sativa leaning (more Sativa than Indica). I grow mostly auto's that have Ruderalis mixed in (makes them automatics).

  10. Thrips or Spider Mites. I had the same spots and it was thrips. I got some neem oil from Lowes and mixed about half a table spoon with a quart of water and sprayed using a spray bottle. Spray all the plant and under the leaves.

  11. Are you feeding it nutrients?

  12. I'm just coming to the end of my first outdoor auto grow.. lots of full season experience... and remember outdoor is way diff than indoor no matter what type of dope it is.
But this is what I learned.
Stunted= anything other than ideal conditions 24/7 for any givin amount of time..
I have seen 3 plus inches of growth overnight on some plants.. 1 day of oops and it could mean that much. 2 or 3 or 4 days of "oops" and "oh good I fixed it".
= 50% of your end harvest..
Oops= transplant shock , nutrient burn or defficiancy, wrong pot size, to hot ,to cold , to much water not enuff.. etc etc etc on for ever...
I heard the phrase " the fuse has been lit" to describe autoflower..
But I believe it's more like "Hang on for the ride"
Imagine riding a wagon down a hill it's hard enuff to steer it away from crashing let alone in the direction you really wanna go ..
In my experience it's not a beginner "crop" a single or 2 plants sure but not for a large crop.
There do whatever they wanna do all bases on genetics unlike a set of clones who act the same.
Everysingle plant will do some off the wall crazy shit no control of the hill just try to give it what it needs to not crash is the best way to approach autos for the beginner grower ..
Experience with autos is were you get the big yields not on the first go around I believ that's gonna ring true for a lot of guys.
