Update About Advertising on Grasscity Important: A New Chapter for Grasscity

ska!!!

    i was just wondering if anyone else listens to ska. like real ska not punk with trumpets. its the best to smoke a blunt on the beach and a specials cd playing

    I had heard of it before, but never got any good music to listen to. I've heard punk ska, but it sucks. could u give me some good bands and song names? that would be swell.

    some bands that i woudl recomend are:
    the specials
    the skalites
    ken boothe
    the selector
    madness
    desmond dekker
    judge dread very funny lyrics)
    the paragons
    toots and the maytels
    the skatalites
    the upsetters
    derick morgan
    eric morris

    those are just a few but if thats any help

    Quite a mix there, I would consider quite a few of them to be reggae though, meh, who cares, its still kickass music :p

    Yea my roommate plays the specials and I thought it was reggae, not ska. I always thought of punk with trumpets as ska, haha sorry.

    punk with trumpets is "nu-ska" lol
    i think that crap is god awful

    the specials are cool, and im sure ive heard some other decent ska but cant think of it right now.

    nothin beats reggae
