Happy to say no pitfalls so far. This has been a good run up to now. Hard to tell, but there's an orange lighter in there for perspective.
Looking great buddy. How much time you got left? I had a minor hiccup in mine. Damn spider mites. Used neem oil twice. Switching to insecticidal soap after the heavy treatment with neem oil. Hope those bastards are dead now.
About to enter week 8, so gonna go three more. Oof, spider mites blow hard. Sorry to hear that man. In the past I've used mighty wash to good effect for spider mites. Its completely ok for people and plants, so can use up to harvest. Might help out. Hope you can get it under control.
Baby update, the galactic jack and pina rita have already stuck out their heads. The strawberry cough is about to break the surface, and lifesaver should be soon behind. My process for germinating is pretty common. Drop in water for about 24 hours until the moment when I tap on the seed it goes to the bottom and stays. Then I take it and put in rockwool cube, then each cube goes into a labeled shot glass, and all that goes in a gallon zip lock bag. This has done well for me because it's too easy to hurt the tap root in the transfer if you use the paper towel method (which I used for years until the internet showed me a better way).
All the girls have stood up to attention. Rest of the clones are fairing pretty well. You might not be able to see them but the two males I put back in this cabinet there on the far right they were really looking sad at the bottom of my flowering room I guess they weren't getting quite enough light, so I put them back into the cabinet. As soon as they're better I'm going to toss them into my newly constructed male box. Its basically a 2 ft square collapsable tent I'm making with pvc and 4 mil plastic because I already had most of the materials.
I love when you walk away from the room and your fingers are sticking together. You smell them and start to get a sense of what you're in for.
So good I said it twice. Peppermint frogs. Pearl handled mice. Everything's included for half the price. Yes, that was a double post.
Babies getting bigger. Gonna put into cubes tonight. Gotta lot to do, so hope I can get home from work in time to get everything reset and a new res. The boys have recovered as well, and so I'm gonna uppot them with the rest of the clones tomorrow I think.
Thanks dude, I got lucky with the only problems happening during veg, so it didn't hurt the results. They've been plumping up nicely.
So... since I'm out of herbs I pulled a little off the money trees to get an early taste. Top bud is dog trap from red eyes genetics, its UWpurps crossed with a gg4 and Mt. Ranier cross. It looks delicious. The long stem is the puna kea 2, from big Island genetics, which is a cut of original sour diesel that made it to the islands, crossed with two other strains. It's a little premature, but should be a good guage for the future. Look forward to tasting both.
The girls are looking good. Changed the res and running strait water. The clones are looking good as well, got a haircut and bigger shoes, and the babies got new digs as well.
Took another puna kea branch and another dog trap bud. Mostly because I have no experience with either of these strains yet, and it's cool to see how they've turned out... also because theres going to be so much puna kea I dont mind chopping parts off, and the dog trap is a nighttime buzz, so this should get me through till things dry. I'm cutting in three days, hoping things ripen a little more till then. Puna kea Dog trap
Life took a shit on me today, but it's almost harvest time soon, so I have this to look forward to, Who knows, maybe this problem will lead to good things.
