Is it possible to be a non-Christian that does not sin? And if such a person exists, is it better to be a sinning Christian (or is that Christian) or a non-sinning non-Christian?
christianity is a religion invented by people. Sinning has to do with the condition of your heart. You can be a non-Christian and have a clean heart, or you can be a Christian and have a dirty heart. Your particular faith doesn't have much to do with the condition of your heart.
I really don't like the dogmatic christian thing of calling non-christians "sinners" . That term "sinning" is part of YOUR religion and doesn't apply to people of other faiths. My mums a buddist - she chants, and finds buddist books etc. religiously relevant to her - And she's a sinner? F**k no! The term "sinners" belongs to your faith, not hers. If Christians think they've found the right religion, great. If that works, and rings true, for them - thats great, they've found their truth! - dont push it on others who are still looking for whats true for them though! Its dogma, pure and simple...I like to think that whatever someone chooses to believe, to really believe, thats real for them. Whatever you really put your faith into comes alive for you. I dont think theres a "right" or "wrong" religion - and no religion should label people of different faiths with their labels ie. "sinners".... (apologies for the rant, this stuff gets my goat!)
Just to add -- my boyfriend is a Christian, he trys not to judge others and to forgive etc.-- but he does NOT consider me a sinner for being non-christian. Does that mean he's not a real Christian? Or that he is a sinning Christian? I dont think so anyway...Each to their own I say, with harm toward none (now thats a pagan saying!)
The way they set it up in the Bible pretty much excludes all humans from never sinning. To not sin you would essentially have to never think a single thought.
