I put the seeds in water and my guide says leave them over night but they sank to the bottom of the cup what does that mean?
It's a good sign, the ones that float after a day will be dead seeds, the ones that sink should grow sprouts.
and the ones that are still floating the next day can be helped along by stirring them with your finger. The ones that sink should in all likelihood be viable. Peace!!!
after 24 hrs, place seeds between 2 wet paper towels and keep warm. Check every 12 hrs or so and when the tap root emerges, place in rockwool, tap root down. I do hope you pre conditioned your rockwool with europonic rockwool conditioner. Do not be fooled into thinking that you can pre-treat rockwool with pH adjusted water.
