So, I've been looking into growing my own for a while. I didn't particularly plan on starting until the summer, but as chance would have it a random dude gave me a clipping on st.Patrick's day. Not a clue about its strain, but having smoked some grown from the same mother I'd hazard a guess at a sativa dominant hybrid. /photopost/data/3404/thumbs/24032011_001_.jpg /photopost/data/3404/thumbs/24032011_002_.jpg I kept the clipping in a glass of water for 4 days under an improvised humidity dome, and moved it to potting soil after that. My budget is very tight at the minute, so I'm planning on building up my lil growroom as I go. To start with, I picked up these two bulbs /photopost/data/3404/thumbs/24032011_003_.jpg a 23 watt 6500k cfl that claims 1795 lux at .5m with a spread of 130 deg, which I believe is 1000 ish lumen? /photopost/data/3404/thumbs/24032011_004_.jpg and a 20 watt warm white cfl that claims 1350 lumen. I'm hoping these are enough to start the grow with. I have them both in desklamps at the moment, but plan to build a growroom into the closet, presuming I manage to keep my clipping alive.
