Have 142 plants growing in soil in a 5x5 tent. Under 1000w hps. Temps are a issue I dont have AC so my temps are high 90's most the time. Considering putting a window AC in the tent slowing my fan down to slow the exchange rate to.once every 3 min. To combat temps. Just have to figure out if the AC will help enough or if my cold air is just going to be sucked right out through the filter Other thing im considering is more light maybe 2 600 watt lights. Also posted a thread in the seed bank section to figure out a new strain but no luck.
Do you not have a cooltube,or hood?A proper inline fan on an enclosed 1000w light is better then ac even. I had a 250 CFL for awhile.The hood would still be hot to the touch.I finally got off my wallet,and bought a 440 CFM fan,and its night,and day.The hood is as cool as room temp metal.Even the glass is touchable. I wouldnt add more lights with temp issues.high temps arent good at all.Slow stunted growth ect. GL
Using air cooled hood. If the plants are getting enough light from the 1000w ill leave it be and work on temps. If not ill add more light and a AC
