Do you think smoke marijuana is a sin? I am very active in church but at times I hear that smoking is a sin. I know that anything that you do too much is a sin. What do you think????
Depends on your personal flavor of biblical interpretation. Some say anything which intoxicates is a sin and clouds your judgment and distract your from god. Others say there is evidence of Jesus using it, and that it should be promoted as a sacrament. I say there is no such thing as sin and you shouldn't live your life according to archaic superstition. To each their own, I suppose.
There is a quote from the Bible where God says that he gives all the seed-bearing plants for man to use.... too lazy to look it up. Of course, I guess that could mean using it as hemp. As Sam_Spade pointed out, intoxication is also considered a sin. But if you're a Christian, then you accept that Jesus died for your sins, correct? We all sin, so the important part is having faith in Jesus. Correct me if I'm wrong.
