getting some CFL's lined up for a custom made grow box need to know light temperature needed for each of the 2 phases, and how many watts ill need for a 2x3x4 grow box. thanks all
For vegging you want something around 6500k and for flowering you want something around 2700k. For cfls a good rule of thumb is 3 to 4 per plant. This depends on what wattage you get though, don't go off of the equivalent ratings. For wattage its like 100w per plant then an additional 50w+ after that. Remember more light is always a good thing and can't hurt.
there will be 2-3 plants. could you give a more accurate count on wattage needed? cause i could put 4 10watt bulbs in there and it wont do shit
I would go get your cfls when you do look for the actual rating on the side. You'll want about 200w for your 3 plants. You mind as well get more then that though cause you can pile cfls together and not have to worry about heat build ups or cooling your lights. Honestly for 3 plants I would get the 100w actual cfl and jam about 3 or 4 of those in your room. The more light the bigger buds you'll get.
