Hey yall Green-Giant here. As a new grower i was extremely anxious to start a plant of my own, but i soon realised that my lack of knowledge let to mydownfall. I started growing an AK-47 plant in my basement, but i had not read enough and just yesterday the plant went to hell, mould everywhere . Anyhow so because of my failure I feel i should inform people about the proper condition so they dont make the same mistakes as me... I surfed MANY sites on indoor growing and i have filtered the most useful and valid information into this quick reference guide, enjoy Basic Tips for indoor growing Strain qualities - high resistance to mould and fungus - strong high - high resin content - fast growth - odour intensity Humidity - 45 - 50% Temperature - 18-23*C Flowering light time - 12 hours PH level - 6.2 - 6.7 Light for germination - fluorescents. 25-watt 4-foot tube Light for flowering and vegative - 400 W - 1000 w HPS if your planning to make larger crops Food ingredients - Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium Food mix for germintation - lots of Nitrogen and Potassium 12-8-12 not needed Food mix for vegetative - lots of Nitrogen 15-5-5 Food mix for flowering - lots of Phosphorus 10-30-10 Soil - Sterilized containing perlite Germination pot size - jiffy pot Vegetative and flowering pot size - 3 - 5 gallon pot Time until a new pot - 3 weeks Germination - up to a week Distance of fluorescents for germination - 2 - 4 inches Vegative growth - 3 weeks Flowering - 2 - 3 months Total time - 3 - 4 months Minimum flowering height - 12 inches Male traits - small round flowers at branching points Femal traits - small v shaped hairs at branching points Adding CO2 - put yeast in warm water and add small ammounts of sugar over time -(replace water every week) Maximizing yield - clip tips of leaves off - keep the area dry so the leaves make more resing to hold in moisture - 24 hour dark period before harvest - the larger the plants are before flowering, the more buds it will produce - clip lower leaves of plant to devote energy for bud production Harvesting - hang plant upside down for a day Trimming - trim the wet leaves from the bud and cut buds from main branches Drying conditions - dark, low humidity Drying time - 5 - 10 days Curing - place buds in plastic bag, leave half bag full of air - place plastic bag in a paper bag and seal off both - keep a close eye and nose on the buds because this stage is most common for mould production - placing a piece of fruit in the bag which may add flavour and taste to the buds
