I got a 250wat 6500k HQI= Metal Halide light how far should i keep it over top sinc eit gives off a fair amount of heat. i have it about a foot off now its only been on it for about n hour. just was wondering any input would be apprciated=]

oh i see haha gotcha anyways if you wanna know if its too hot put your hand under the light the same distance away as the plant if it hurts your hand/ feels uncomfortable then you need to move the light further away if not then you're golden
