  1. hi to everyone ! :)

just a quick question...... i am looking to grow 1 or 2 plants to supply myself as i am not trusting many other people at the minute with all this grit and un-cured stuff about. i was wondering is it pretty easy to grow your own on a smaller scale i.e. indoors ? i don't have masses amounts of cash and was told that i can use a small fish tank plus energy saving bulbs to grow indoors ? the more i read on the net the more confused i am lol i just want to know what basics i need and what to do as i am not a gardener or scientist ;) i understand that there are many expert growers here and your advice would be greatly received :)

    thank you !

  2. Its really not that hard once you understand what's actually going on... in the beginners section on gc there are suggested books, get yourself one that focuses more on cfls if that is what you want to use.read it, take notes, get supplies then come back with specific questions when you're ready...good luck

  3. Ok will do :) is it relatively cheap to setup a small grow ? as i live in the uk my only option is indoors lol as the weather as you know is crap ! my friend said you can grow from a cutting of another plant ?? some people make it sound like you need a lab and others don't this is what confuses me as many people do it differently. i would just like a simple guide step by step guide do you grow indoors personally ?

as i am inexperienced with growing plants it's alot to get my head round for a complete beginner and i tend to learn better with experience :) i.e. someone showing me.

p.s. sorry to be a noob but what is cfls ?

thank you my bud brother :smoking:

  4. Your garden is going to be small. Is it enough to supply your needs? If you get 1 ounce per square foot of growing space you are doing good on the average, especially for a newbie.

  5. CFL's and the swirly tubed energy saving bulbs... (C)ompact (F)lorescent (L)ight

you'll need 100 actual watts of them per plant... you'll also need some sort of reflective, a fan, and air out-take for the growing room... soil, pH meter, pH calibration solution, pH storage solution, pH adjusters, and nutes for you plants...

and a general knowledge of horticulture helps... that is... if you want quality product... it requires an original investment for healthy, sturdy, plants... anything you skimp on reduces yield and quality...
