Welcome to the Solar Eclipse white light revolution! My name is Silly. Everyone and any topic is welcome here as long as it falls within the guide lines of the city. The white light revolution started for me when Amare was a start up. I followed along with interest, and my superior HPS lights. When they came out with the Cobs (Chip On Board). I pulled the trigger. 2x350SE for the first run. I thought things went well. Saved 30% on my Electric in the dead of summer. Was able to do a fairly large run in summer. HPS could only run one light and still control heat. Yes I could have spent more an up graded the electricity AC but @ 40¢+ per kWh why? 3/4 of a gram per what on a very low yielding strain. Not counting the Larf which I will be able to turn into top grade hash. Pics below they would not load Rebooting the Silly Pharm Emphasis on flowering
Re amended soil like this. 5-7gallons of Used Silly Soil 5 Gallons of EWC 2-3 gallons of pro mix 5 gallons of pearlite Liming Hand full of Gypsum, Dolmite, Oyster-shell flower, and Crab Meal (many other benefits) Green sand 1c Rock dust 1c Handful of Kelp meal, Neem, 1/4 HF fish bone meal This filled 2 10 gallon buckets Rinsed and repeated 18 times lol
Subbed up! Lovin my 350 so far Can't wait to see the flower performance Killer room, I'll be at your level one day silly!
If you saw some of the deficiencies in my plants you aren't seeing things let me explain why. I mainly use sips before I TP I alway use some form of Mycos, currently using VAM works great. You can see the explosive root growth. Problem is when the plant reaches into the sip to drink it is drinking straight water. Second problem being the plant is ready for TP and I am not lol. I don't sweat it with the new TP and light, growth will explode. I toped with EWC mixed with red clover and watered from the top down with a kelp tea. Now LIFTA. May run a few MBT's that will be it. The contenders for the big pots
Hey Silly, got a question for you. Might be a dumb one but here goes. Do those higher end panels require a larger breaker/voltage line to operate? One of the big issues I'm dragging my feet on with my plans for the bigger space is that I have to bring in an electrician to set things up for the HIDs etc. Do those panels require that sort of electrical upgrade? Also, which panel from Amare would be equal to 1k watts of HID? Thanks.

Dude such a good question! The lights can be run on 110 or 220. No upgrade required 4.5 to 4.7 amps. 2 450s could run on a typical 15 amp service at the plug. I had previously installed this and it really isn't that hard to do. Makes things simpler and can handle 4 1k HPS lights. View attachment 1945651 think it was $80. The directions come with it. One timer kicks on up to 4 1k x 220 circuits. These being 220 I could continue using this. .
And, as far as equivalency to a 1k HPS, the 250 has a peak Ppfd that rivals the 1kHPS, so 4x SE250 is an option SolarSYMPHONY is also an option. 4xSS150 and 2xSE250 Both these options will be in the neighborhood of 1000w HID without the extra energy for cooling, such as AC and inline fans. With the advantage of higher ppfd over a better coverage area. Not to mention a superior spectrum range Say you were to run a 1k hps, measure the power used to maintain acceptable temperatures including inline fans and ac. Watt for watt will be in the range of 1150w-1250w depending on the equipment used PPFD or the Photosynthetically active Photon Flux Density It is the unit of measurement used to measure the amount of light in the frequencies that the plants use PAR Photosynthetically Active Range
Thanks man! Definitely something to consider. I'm worried about the cost required to rewire for 240. It's one of the biggest snags in my plan. I'd like to run the equivalent of at least 1k in each room.
****didn't see the other two posts after. Now I have some thinking to do. I know the panels are expensive but I'm also thinking about the savings over the months/years on the bill. At least that's the argument I want to present to the wife, lol!
