I'm not aware of your bandwidth and whatnot, so I don't know if the sig pic restrictions are because of it. However, I would love it if you could expand the width, length and size restrains. Personally, I think something like 400 x 125 or 500 x 150, 100kb or 200kb would work out well. Opinions?
In my opinion, the signature limits are just fine the way they are. Bigger than allowed, it would take up tons of space on the page, and 56k users wouldn't be too happy about it. (if they even exist anymore). I believe the limits are set in stone per say, but you never know, things could change.
I think 95% of the internet community doesn't use 56k anymore. Only the elderly and people without high speed access still use 56k, which I doubt is that much of the GC community and thusly wouldn't be affecting any issues.
I don't think there's really anything wrong with the size the way it is. 300x125 is plenty big enough if you ask me. I'll admit the 20kb limit is hard to get down to... Maybe a bump up to like 50kb or something would be cool. But it's not that big of a deal to me either way. *shrug*
I agree, but I thought the limit was 35kb? That still always kinda annoyed me too, cause both my signatures at the highest JPG quality were like 42kb... I admit, I push the size limit and go for 300x150 in some of the signatures (maybe even my current) I've used, but that's only because thats the standard size at which I've been making sig's on numerous forums for years.
