There are currently two petition going around whitehouse cyberspace calling for an end to marijuana prohibition in the US. The first is to completely legalize it at the federal level and the second to remove marijuana from the federal controlled substance act and allow the states to decide how they want to regulate it. The latter is currently more popular, but there is no hard in signing both of course. That is, unless you are too lazy to even try.. petitions.whitehouse.gov Federal Legalization petitions.whitehouse.gov Remove from CSA
I signed, but I really don't see much point in this. The federal government knows what the people want, and every time the subject comes up on change.org, it's always ignored.
They can address it however they want. As in, "We don't really care about that right now, so your petition was a waste of time".
That's so stupid, I think if a petition gets enough votes the president should have to address it on television so it actually gets heard. We should make a petition for that!
