If I surround a plant with lighting will they go insane trying to figure out which way to grow. Meaning: Imagine a grow box 4 foor square by 6 foot high and on the inside walls of the box with no spacing, you would have about 60-80 4 foot tubes of 40 watts each. I guess you could add lighting to the inside top of the box but wouldn't the plants be drawn to the strongest source of light. With a flexable adjustable mount for the fixtures it could be set so the lighting is always 2-3 inches from the plant at all sides. I guess the leafs would be poitning is all differnet directions but what direction would the main stems grow? Would mercury vapor lighting help? They are really cheap. Price from LOWES. BTW I have nothing to do with LOWES or any other places that sell stuff. Regent Mercury Vapor Security Light Item #: 74011 Model: NH1204-M $24.97 Die cast aluminum Dusk to dawn operation Includes mounting hardware and 175 watt mercury vapor bulb Mounts to wall or post Operates on normal household current 5 year warranty
but what direction would the main stems grow uh, up I think your box would burst into flames, then your house would go up!....... lmao, indeed dude, you'd be better off with a small HPS or MH, tubes pruduce long stringy buds compared to better light sources. If you did put something like this together, you would want a top fixture as well.
