Sickens me

  1. Sickens me to see that at over 40% of Americans support John McCain. The biggest thing in this country we should focus on is the war. Its amazing how ignorant so many Americans are and don't know whats really going on there. Its gotten better and all but we fucked it up so much. All the soldiers are doing is acts of sadism and blind patriotism and their forced to! Why won't people realize that we need to get out of Iraq. Its ruined our economy drastically and would lighten the weight of it if we were out of there. I've seen a fuck load of war footage. Honestly I hate the new documentary Generation Kill. The shits retarded because everyone I watch it with thinks its like real war shit and stuff. Like thats what its like. Bullshit, watch some real footage, you DON'T see the enemy. Also in real footage the soldiers shit their pants just about everytime a guns go off. It just doesn't show whats really going on there. I don't know this is a rant but it this war kills me.

  2. What about the rest that support Obama? Both groups are in support of unfettered warfare, domestic spying, and an epic economic clusterfuck, and both deserve disdain.

  3. Those statements are definitely stretching any sort of "truth" that exists.

  4. Look, you support a candidate who voted yes on granting legal immunity to private companies who infringed on our most basic right to privacy. You support a candidate who has adopted the same old aggressive rhetoric towards Russia/Iran, and who vows to support Israel in its brutal conquest for muslim territory. You support a candidate who will ruin our economy attempting to appease environmentalists, while ignoring the most obvious and crucial environmental move of legalizing hemp.

Do you support those positions, or not?

  5. Private companies that infringed on what you call the right to privacy (like those owners of "private" companies want themselves) were compelled by the government, were they not? To punish them is overkill, to prevent the abuse of power from happening again is just.

Aggressive rhetoric toward Russia and Iran? Which rhetoric was that exactly? Any good quotations for me to at least consider?

Israel's brutal conquest? Yeah, I'm sure Obama words his support for Israel's sovereignty exactly like that. Quote please?

Ruin "our" economy to appease environmentalists. Environmentalism is essentially science. Do you disagree? It is clearly wise to not pollute or overly imbalance earth's natural state. That's beyond science, it's just common sense. Now if only our quest for monetary control didn't limit our ability to care for our environment...

Legalizing hemp? Is that what this is all about? Well, sure I'd like that. I know what you mean, but still don't you think solar energy might cut it? Wind farms in the mountains? Sounds almost too natural to be good.

  6. Obama is in step with every line of the war-party. His foreign policy is identical to Bill Kristols. If anybody as educated as Obama supports pre-emptive war, they are working for the industrial complex.

He has tricked you all by admitting we need to pull out of Iraq, but this does not make him the peace candidate. He is only going to pull troops out and send them elsewhere.

I hate when I see the Obama sticker with the peace sign... fools.

  7. I was actually a big supporter of Ron Paul. The only reason why I support Obama is because I think he is better than McCain and doesn't wanna get involved in any other wars. Our canidates suck but its what we have to choose.

  8. Fools... tricked me. Alright.

People shouldn't group anti Iraq war and anti war as the same thing. Don't get me wrong. I'm not anti war. I think we should have stayed focused on Afghanistan and the Waziristan/Pakistan tribal areas without declaring a global war on terror. Let's face it. America, Republicans and Democrats, have had a hard on for Saddam forever. He's America's own creation, he went loose cannon, therefore it was up to America to destroy Frankenstein gone haywire.

  10. Morally and Constitutionally we should only attack if we have been attacked. Therefore, going into Afghanistan after Bin Laden was a good move.

But to argue that we should still be in Afghanistan nation building, or to continue our eradication of anti-American muslims with more terror-inciting violence, is foolish. Unless you can make the case for preemptive war.

Are you seriously insisting that Obama supports peace and not preemptive wars against an invisible enemy? An endless cash box for the defense sector?

Nobody except for maybe the Taliban has necessarily been able to control Afghanistan as an entire territory. Even their control was partial. If you look at my post I said that we shouldn't have declared war on "every single terrorist organization within global reach". We should have just bribed enough warlords to turn against the Taliban enough to kill them all and maybe kill or capture bin laden. Install a few pipelines with Chevron and all that. Imagine all the warlords America could have bought off with the money spent on Iraq;).

    Edit:
And as far as the endless cash box. I couldn't agree more. Terrorism is the new communism to the government. Everything in the name of communism, now terrorism. An endless cash box funded by taxes out of your paycheck. Funny how Bush campaigned on anti nation building.

Are you insinuating that Bush supports war? He may have taken our country to war, but he may actually have believed we had to "invade". You never know... ;)

  13. Don't feel too bad, they duped me too.

  14. You're stretchin it a little...

When hasn't a President since WW2 supported imperial expansion? Let's examine an ignored Eisenhower quote:

  15. lol Ignored? I just finished quoting his entire speech in another thread!!!

    :D so I see...

Funny how Obama never mentions Bush's support of the industrial complex, or even talks about the private interests of war. Unless I just haven't heard him lash out against war profiteering. Seems he is ignoring it.

Unless you think its a myth held only for conspiracy theorists?

(In the new Sid Meiers Civilization game, the "Military Industrial Complex" wonder is listed as being popularly attributed to conspiracy theorists despite its major influence in politics, pretty cool Sid.)

  17. Obama's vice president, Joe Biden, voted FOR the war. And neither candidate will pull out of Iraq for a few years. You cannot just become president and say "Hey, let's get the fuck out of there." I am sure a lot of young Obama fans think that...because they are uneducated idiots.

It sickens me how Obama became this huge figure in our society and he has done NOTHING. He talks a good game and gives good speeches, but that is about it. He talks about change but not how he would accomplish such change.

I honestly don't want to vote for either candidate, but if I am going to, put me down for McCain.
